Interesting touches. A nice contrast between his interventionism in the case of Bruce Wayne and getting out of the way of history when he was near Smallville. I'm kinda sad that Dawn didn't tell Buffy Spike was still about, she really deserves to know and to make her own decisions.

Remember, the Wayne intervention is Time Agent Jack - their motto seems to be that the ends justify the means, and the end here is to get a Batman.

Loved the first chapter, linking Captain Jack to all those Clint Eastwood spaghetti Western roles, and even more the second, with Spike relating his own encounter with Captain Jack in his inimitable way. However, this last one really snuck up on me, as it took me a while to realize that all those temporal signatures might refer to a certain "Lois & Clark" episode involving H. G. Wells, Tempus, and a botched attempt to kill Superman as a baby.
Nice work, all around!

The L&C episode was what I had in mind, but I'm pretty sure that there was some time travel involving Superman's arrival in comics canon too. I didn't want to pin it down to an exact date to reflect this, in the earliest comics canon Clark first arrived on earth during or soon after the First World War, and for a late date we have things like the Smallville meteor disaster in the eighties...

I love Spike's misinterpretation of Angelus' curse from his reactions. Nice ficlet.

You can thank Don Sample for that - originally I had Spike aware of the soul, but Don convinced me it wasn't canon, and I think it made it a better story.
