Review of chapter "Blood, Purgatory, Sex, Magick" from draconis
Review:
.
Good stories. Very interesting twist to have Tara be the survivor. Can't recall another story where author has posited that outcome. And growing Kennedy into something less in-your-face and screechy on the brain is also a plus. I like where the story is going...although I would have also had Tara sentence Warren to "community service" of helping abused people for the rest of his life in some way in addition to just feeling guilty about his former actions. Then he could see more of the real damage done to others besides just from his personal experiences (e.g. Katrina), maybe feel even more guilty, and actually do positive things to help others. Otherwise, he's just sitting around brooding like Angel...until Angel finally got off his ass and started helping Buffy and others.

However, whether liberal or conservative writer, I do find it quite unseemly and it screams propaganda when an author needlessly bashes political and/or media entities based on an ideological viewpoint (e.g. the swipe at Fox News)...especially when it does nothing to contribute to or advance the story itself. Cheap and gratuitous shots just aren't that funny, and it needlessly upsets readers on one "side" or the other. There are other ways to get such beliefs across.

ALL media and reporters are biased in their reporting. ALL politicians are biased. And most of them (or their editors/spokespersons/press secretary/etc) lie outright, skew information, or lie by omission (editing) to suit their worldview or promote their agenda (propaganda). An author doesn't do him/herself or the readers any favors by engaging in the same, especially if one goes for the "easy" cheap shot. As one example where authors have "blamed" a single ideology, I think it equally likely these days that something like the Initiative (were it real) would exist in the U.S. regardless whether a liberal OR conservative administration is in charge. If one were to claim that ONLY conservatives would come up with something so horrendous, or that ONLY liberals would come up with such, would be naive in extremis. In the same category, basically declaring Fox isn't "fair and balanced", with the obvious deduction that therefore MSNBC (or any other liberal network) IS fair and balanced...is also naive.

Still just as fun to come back and reread, and still would like to see more someday.
I hope you're doing well, as you've become one of my favorite authors here. Thanks for writing!

Some interesting ideas here that I wouldn't mind seeing developed; Amy's potential reformation and Oz's re-introduction to the gang both look like they'll be promising storylines.

Just read this story, after first rereading Kiss. I'm quite enjoying the series, and I thought I'd let you know. Consider this a vote in its favour if you're ever debating stories to go back to. :-)

Review of chapter "The Hunt Begins" from RebeccaAshling
Review:
I really like this story. While I do like Willow/Tara, I actually prefer Willow to be paired with Buffy and Tara with someone else (usually Buffy or Faith). Kennedy/Tara works for me though I think the Tara in this story is a bit too earnest and could use a little less gravitas. I'd love to see you continue with this but, now that I've started to write fanfiction myself, I better understand why stories get abandoned.

Another good story, and interestingly developed, and managed the difficult task of getting me to like Kennedy more, too. The alternating first person perspective from characters that rarely seem to get such attention was a nice change too, as was the unusual pairing. I'd love further updates, if you ever get the time and interest back. Thank you for writing. :)

I've read this story several times, here and at fanfiction.net and really love this. I especially like the pairing, or possible pairing, of Tara and Kennedy as, unlike some, really love both these girls and certainly wouldn't object to the two of them hooking up.

It does seem as you've lost interest in this story, which is a shame as it is quite good. I do hope you will consider updating sometime in the near future. However you decide, my compliments on a well told tale.

It's been more than a year. I do hope you will remember and continue this insightful story. I haven't been a Kennedy fan in the past, but your internal viewpoint of her has been very satisfying and not at all off putting. I think I can 'understand' the Kennedy that you've created and I really like the plot. I do hope we'll see something of Warren's suffering... You just know that vengeance spells always have strange consequences...

I look forward to reading more.

Weird, i mean, faith had no real reason to like willow that much, did she?

Or am i missing something?
Comments from author:
You'll get a fuller explanation in a later chapter.

Suffice it to say, for the moment, that Faith still feels guilty about the way she treated everyone.

You have no idea how happy I am that you marked this as part of a series... that means I don't have to dread the end, there's going to be a sequel :)
