This fic was seriously made of win up through and including chapter 6. The jovial nature was awesome. It took a darker turn there in 7 and 8, and was still rather entertaining, but it lost a lot of the jovial feel, and there was something else lost too, but I can't put my finger on it.
Anyway, I very much enjoyed the read. The summary nature, delving only into key bits, was used with artistry and poise. I look forward to a sequel.

Yes, I care. I'm finding this a fascinating alternate view of season 2. It's particularly interesting, because David Xanatos (at least in the earlier season of "Gargoyles") seemed almost the opposite of Xander Harris: all brains and ambition, with little or no heart. Combining the two of them into a sort of composite character makes for interesting possibilities. Plus, more Puck/Owen is always fun.
