Sounds like we are developing a split within the PTB over how to treat Buffy. One group wants to treat her as a toy, something to be manipulated as a item for their pleasure. Another group wants to do what they can to help her. Looks like Michael took one option, help out in what ways he can, be it as a human or as a vampire.

Enjoying the story.
I enjoyed Lost Boys but the end of the movie always bothered me, precisely because the David's impaling on antlers, because antlers are bone, not wood. Like how you have used that theme in this story.
Can't wait to see Xander try to convince Oz and Willow to go along with the self-proclaimed "stupid plan"
