Review of chapter "Chapter Three" from FallenGods
Review:
I liked it but really want a sequel involving Illyria among the fleet perhaps regaining her power from the colonial's worship and the whole thing becoming increasingly AU. OK just seen there is a sequel but its not finished :(

Love the backstory, man. Ingenious! It's been said that a writer's life is like a book of connect the dots puzzles, and I gotta say, this makes one hell of a drawing!

Review of chapter "Chapter Three" from apollo
Review:
Good story, and I'm about to read "Balance of the Universe," but something's bugging me. Where is the tiny, tiny hint to BSG earlier than the last line - I reread it, looking for it specifically, and still couldn't find it.

BTW, I also like making "Head Six" the First ("What is #6?") and having a buried Stargate on Caprica ("Missed Opportunity"). No offense, but I don't watch Dark Angel, so I didn't read "Cylon Genetics," as I probably wouldn't get it.

Review of story "Cycle of the Universe" from Ramenth
Review:
I'd assume it has to do with the fact that she mentions Kobol is their point of origin.

Anyway, great stories. I think you uploaded the latest chapter to the wrong one though.

Edit: Joe, s/he attached it to the wrong story. It should be on book 2.

Review of story "Cycle of the Universe" from (Moderator)JoeHundredaire
Review:
Honestly, you would have been better with... I'm pretty sure there was another chapter 4 before. With the Asgard and Nox finding out Illyria was there? And that ended the story? This new chapter is just a WTF of epic proportions. Now we've got Heroes, Lya popping out of nowhere... it just fails epically.
Comments from author:
Sorry, I updated the wrong story. This chapter is meant to be Chapter 3 of "Balance of the Universe" the sequel to "Cycle of the Universe". It was my mistake, and I probably spoiled you for some things with Balance of the Universe. Problem's been fixed now.

Review of chapter "Chapter Three" from purrfus
Review:
Congratulations on your 2007 COA nomination.

I came back to re-read this, and I have questions that apparently didn't strike me the first time I read this.

In the Story, while describing her situation and options, Illyria indicates that if her people were to awaken now she would be destroyed as an abomination. This is canon so okay. But in the author's notes you indicate the rationale behind the BSG cross and going to Kobol is in the hope of getting help in returning to her former glory. What makes the Kobol old ones likely to help instead of destroy her?
Comments from author:
I'm leading into it in "Balance of the Universe", but basically the Old Ones which left to go to Kobol were 'pacifists' when compared to all the other Old Ones. Illyria and the rest of the Old Ones left them alone. It will be up to Illyria, if she encounters these Old Ones, to convince them to not destroy her, and to restore her to [a fraction of] her former self.

Nice set-up. But isn't this chapter part of another story than the first 3 chapters?

Review of chapter "Chapter Three" from RevDorothyL
Review:
Really intriguing! I like the way you introduced Illyria's history and Giles' "Vampires 101" explanation for the creation of the first vampires into the SG1 mythology, combining it with the story of the Great Alliance and with the plague that ravaged the Ancients.

However, I couldn't help but notice that in THIS story the Asgard have already met their end, as they did in the SG1 series finale, but in the sequel you've got Thor beaming down, calm as you please, just as though they hadn't been talking about the demise of his race with Illyria in the very recent past. That's a pretty big discontinuity to cope with when trying to read and enjoy a series.

Great mix of show mythologies! I really hope you write a sequel 'cause Illyria in the BSG 'verse sounds amazing!

That's event better than using the nine chevrons; she used the gate, like a safe combination lock.
