Great, I started working on the story I first mentioned about a year ago (Firefly / Compelled 'Verse) and I've hit a bump that really only you could answer. Which is more likely: Illyria being in charge of The Alliance and Slayers being a dissenting force, Humans and assorted Demons usurping Illyria, or Illyria taking over earth and letting those who dislike it leave on their own?

I think I can write most of the story without that being answered, but it is kinda important in figuring out how Jayne knows about Slayers and such, it also would imply one way or another if Rebeca / Enyo would be involved in his family.

Hmm... or it could be a whole nother 'verse that's tied in through the use of the Pathfinder... damn, 'nother plot bunny right there!

Given that we're dealing with the multiverse does it matter? All alternatives get played out somewhere.

I'd advise you to pick the one that's easiest to write/best fits the story.

losing Maybe? While I like the idea of loosing a war ,and the image conjures war as a headstrong unbroken colt, or maybe a pack of ravening dogs, (and I'm not sure I'm using the right words either.)

Hmm, unfortunately I truly suck at writing, especially so with fanfiction... Stacking Fanfictions? (Buffy, Firefly, and the Compelled verse) Yea, that's not gonna happen... And somehow I don't think that challenges has a section for a Fanfiction of a fanfiction... heck even Mediaminer only came out with a 'fanfiction sequel' section only a few months ago...

I might be able to produce something at some point though, but unfortunately I'm not that optimistic about how soon it'd be. I wouldn't mind if someone else wrote it though, or if you shared the idea with someone else and they wrote it. As I said, it was just an idea that popped into my mind in the middle of the night that just wouldn't leave me. (The other that crossed my mind ages ago when I first read the Compelled series was "Holy crap, is this going to be a Stargate crossover? That'd be EPIC!")

An idea struck me last night, but I wasn't sure if you would approve of it, so I thought I'd run it by you. (I'm not even sure I could write it myself, but I can at least do a drabble of it.)

The idea is this: !Whedonverse, the real reason why Jayne's mother always sends him those 'cunning hats' and why he's not surprised by anything Book or River might do.
Essentially the story is that Jayne is the descendant of Vi and Perković and tales of Slayers and Watchers have been handed down in his family.

cool. but Buffy is actually a pretty good cook. There was that whole thanksgiving diner thing, with her spending the whole episode in the kitchen.

Buffy was an extremely fussy and intense cook in that episode, that doesn't necessarily flow into "good" ;-)

There's an element of fanon in Buffy's lack of domestic skills but it does fit her personality, to me anyway.

Well.. Hotpoint hasn't said that they're not part of the Compelled series... yet.. Although, he hasn't said that they are, either. ^_^



Hotpoint himself edits to add: Fortunately given that Compelled takes place in a near-infinite multiverse all these stories could be taking place and still not effect the main story because they're happening in a number of alternate Compelled Universes ;-)

The stories I write myself here in "Tales" are part of the same universe as the main story though.

Difficult to make a Compelled spinoff more epic than the original but you're doing it ;-)
