Uh, nice! really enjoying this story. Poor Angel, though. It must be hard to be so close to being human again, and knowit's all just an illusion... Good dialogue, and very well written. I've just read the first three segments in one sitting, and I'm hooked. It's a very good tactic, I think, NOT to tell us whose life is in danger. We assume it's Toby, but maybe not, right? Anyway, great piece, and I'll be watching for more.

Not to nitpick too much, but I can see a couple potential problems with Angel going to the White House. First of all, the President does live there - so he might have a problem with the invitation thing. And what about the Secret Service having some sort of detection gear that could ID him? The Initiative did... (Realistically, I could see it ending up that he doesn't go himself, because of those problems.)
That said... this has the makings of a great story. I especially like the idea that they aren't going to "crash" the party, but rather "crash" the guest list...
And I wonder what the various WW characters' reactions will be if/when they find out about Angel, Cordy, the Powers, etc.
Sorry if this came out a little flamey - I don't usually review until the story is quite a bit further along than chapter 2.
