I LOVE this story, though was sad to realize it hadn't been updated in such a long time. I always love Xander crossing over into the Numb3rs world. I enjoyed his interactions with Edgerton, my favorite Numb3rs character outside of Charlie and would love to see more.
Your confrontation with Buffy and Willow was spot on, they've always underestimated, snubbed and disregarded him under their guise of protection and friendship, whilst expecting him to always fix their messes, accept the abuse and never grow up from 15 year old Xander whose clown act was in itself probably a mask created to deal with his poor home life and was likely reinforced by the death of Jesse and the constant Combat they lived through.
Whilst with Giles I sometimes think he's just a thoughtless snobbish idiot that reluctantly sees Xander as a occasional expendable and tolerable resource that he can use to protect the girls he sees as daughters and seems to play favorites with. After all in all seven years of the show you never see him act truly fatherly or friendly with Xander, he didn't even come to the wedding that wasn't.

Yeah, every girl Xander knows (with exception of Anya, Dawn, and Tara) is a grade A bitch to him, and yet they expect him to roll over and let them walk all over him out of Joss Whedon's misplaced sense of female superiority.
Don't get me wrong. Women empowerment is great, but not at the cost of a nice guy like Xander being abused instead.
I really like this story, and hope you keep writing in it, it's engaging and really gets into Ian and Xander's thought processes a little. I'd love to see more in this one!

Talk about a story you want to see finished! I love this story. I can easily see Xander being a sniper and I think he and Edgerton would make a great team.
I'm not sure if you're writing anymore as none of your stories that I track have been updated in awhile...but i wanted to let you know I appreciate what you've shared with us. I'm having fun re-reading this story, consulting and carpenter (xander & numb3rs is great) even in their w.i.p. status. Thanks for sharing while you were able & leaving them available for re-reading.
