Review of chapter "Chapter Eleven" from UnscathedAnimal
Review:
Not sure what to make of this, Buffy training military personnel in archaic combat. Guns are the superior tools to use in most combat situations, especially in situations SG1 gets into, where everything is mired in science. Archaic weapons are more effective against demons and vampires for entirely different reasons: usually, you need to kill something in a specific manner, or else via decapitation. Silver bullets are brittle and expensive, but a silver tipped bolt can be easily retrieved (even if the shaft breaks, you can re-attach the head), while a knife is useful for as long as 1- it's sharp, and 2- resharpening it leaves enough silver lining to remain effective. A wooden bullet would just explode out the barrel. And, it's somewhat difficult to decapitate with small arms. You can sever the spine with just one shot, but that's a really impressive shot.

But, for Kull and Jaffa? enough force with a solid enough round has proven effective time and time again. In other words: armour piercing bullets. Or Trinium. Swords have no place there. At best, Buffy can give advanced melee instruction, but melee is a last resort kind of thing unless you need to take a target down silently.

Review:
Aha! Thought I remembered this story, but couldn't recall the buffy/willow ship. It's because I dropped the story at chapter 5. Once a Slayer always a Slayer, there's an on switch but no off. That should include the Slayerettes. But you made that comment, "once called always called", and then immediately went "except for every single Slayer except Faith and Buffy". What the hell is that. Pick one rule (there is/ is not an off switch) and stick with it. Don't quote the rule if you can't follow it.

This story sure doesn't appear to be finished, far too many loose ends. I also take it that you are not from an English speaking country as the grammar, spelling etc. are beyond belief, unless you are a person in the third grade. Apparently you Never read what you write or you would have corrected the hundreds of typos in this story.
As for imagination you deserve an A+ since this is totally original and the characters are brilliantly done. The plot was solid and believable in the fiction sense of Buffy and SG-1.

Get someone to proofread and correct your English and your stories will be much better, maybe even award winning.

It's 4:30am and I finally finished reading the last chapter. Stayed up all night 'cause you sucked me in with one mighty good tale here (written back in '08) and now I have to go find out if you continued it in another part (fingers crossed). Very intriguing read. Love what you did with both canons and tho I'm not a w/b shipper, I found their being "mates" quite natural in this story. Loved the Lantean twist. Would totally love to know if Atlantis exists in this universe because that would be totally cool if the girls could you know --- make the CITY come to life as is should have (of course John Sheppard would have to be there because the City LOVES him.) Ok, I'm a bit sleep-deprived and rambly. Sorry. Enjoyed the story. Thanks for writing. Hope to find more in this 'verse.

Review:
I wasn't one hundred percent sure on this one at first, due at least partly to a certain fondness for Kennedy (I know that will probably get me lynched but never the less). Willow/Buffy is probably my favourite non cannon pairing so seeing that was a definite plus and your story seemed to flow well and have a consistent narrative, plus it was an interesting change to see the decision to have the previously unknown parent being Carter, as opposed to the more traditional choice of Jack O'Neil that seems to have become so entrenched in Buffy/SG1 paternity stories. Was a bit unsure in your presentation of Xander, but it seemed to work ultimately. Did seem to fall somewhat into the trap of having Willow and Buffy somewhat over powered, however since this is only the first part of this, and the foreshadowing towards the end, I presume that ultimately they will gain a similarly powered enemy to 'balance' it out. All in all an excellent fanfic highly readable and enjoyable.

I love how you explained Buffy's life. I've never actually watched the show and I'm too lazy to google stuff so I copied and pasted your little timeline to my desktop for reference. It keeps the major stuff in order for me.

Good work

Her physical strength and speed were such that sparring was useless. Bridget estimated that to give her even an adequate workout, Buffy would have to take on several military companies.

Would love to see Buffy let lose on all the men in the military who've assaulted and raped their fellow soldiers for the crime of being female
http://www.nytimes.com/2009/12/28/us/28women.html (and that's just the US military)

Great story, hoping to read book two some day. Would like to see
- more Sam/Janet despite DADT, even if Sam has to resign from the USAF to make it happen and become a civilian consultant,
- Dan & Dawn interaction
- less Xander
- Teal'c getting to say more than 'indeed'

Bit worried that W & B are too powerful, but they do have powerful enemies to go with it. Trouble is, it's hard to write a gripping, *human* story with mainstream (as opposed to comic book cult) appeal when the big bads & big goods all have superpowers.
