The interesting thing about this story is that Xander is protected but he also has his own power which is recognized. You have the extended family of choice going on with hints of individuality.
And yes, this is a very clear and clean revision compared to earlier drafts.

That's so sad about Buffy. I did like how Xander went all Alpha Reina on the enemy. Who attacked them and how was Dru involved? I understand that she used her Sire status to spy through Spike, but how is she involved with this enemy? Good update.
