Review of chapter "Many an hour of sweet happiness" from (Current Donor)Shieldage
Review:
Well, cute. Good to see them rolling off into the sunset together.
Looks like everyone's happy or pretty much stable. Hey, I'm happy she doesn't have to keep zombifying the remaining dying cats, great that her ownership of the house is set, but... i don't know... ... unless she's become attached... will she or Wesley be able to put the zombie cats 'to sleep' without dismemberment? I mean as housepets go they're... not strictly safe ;)
This would be a great jumping-off point for a sequel, but it's also an excellent ending. Yet again, you've painted a well-reasoned and fluid alternate verse. Thank you and -hey- good luck with the site awards :)

Hey, you might want to find a movie in a similar vein called Leon: The Professional. One of the major lines is "No women, no kids"; it's about a hitman who lives without attachments until he finds someone to really care about. It's a great film and whether or not it inspires plot bunnies, it's definitely worth watching.
Comments from author:
Thank you very much for your review.

I imagine Faith would need to chop the heads off the zombie cats before she left Boston but I wanted everything to end on a happy note so hence did not go into beheading details.

I am tempted to do a part 2 I imagine Cordelia being all filthy as a slave in Pylea and Xander walking into her stall to help rescue her and Cordelia being furious at him witnessing her humilation - by this stage Xander is a famous male supermodel.

"you've painted a well-reasoned and fluid alternate verse" Goodness thank you, I love diverging from points in time with - what if?

I have had 'The Professional' recommended to me before but have never seen it, I suppose I really must now you've given a good pitch for it.

Review of chapter "Now young men, take heed of my warning" from (Current Donor)Shieldage
Review:
Whoa! Nice action and good way to destroy the discoball.

Let's see, Angel Season One is now, Pylea was the last arc of Season 2, so Spring 2001... I wonder if Doyle's going to wind up getting the 'Princess Cordelia' treatment? :D

Will the zombie kitties be okay while Faith is gone? I like the bits on their care and feeding. Are they going to get mushy if they don't get enough to eat?

The baby should be cute.

Reply: Oh, hey thanks. Ya did have Doyle say he had and you did it obviously enough. Huh, sorry, weird that I misread it.
Comments from author:
Oops suddenly remembered I hadn't replied to your kind review.

Zombie kitties will be dealt with, Faith is not pregnant as Doyle said he just made it up so he could be the hero and go on top of the pyramid.

Doyle and Pylea aha wait and see.

Review of chapter "Who should I meet" from phoukabro
Review:
I am really enjoying this story. I love how you capture the voice and tone of so many different characters. I have no idea where the plot is going, but I'm definitely keeping up with it to find out.

Quick question: where is Gunn in this story? Is he hanging with Wesley and Cordelia? Or is he still with his street gang?
Comments from author:
Thank you for the rec!

Charles Gunn is still in LA as Angel turned human before he would have met Gunn otherwise.

Cordelia and Wesley have not met Gunn yet and who knows if one or both will survive next chapter to meet him on their return to LA?

Thank you for reviewing.

Review of chapter "Who should I meet" from Ouatic
Review:
Sorry to be so nit picky...

Well, a little sorry.

It's "Elk Grove Village" not "Elk Village". I was sorta curious to see what you would do with Chicago.

That cruise ship sounds awfully suspicious.
Comments from author:
Elk Grove? I must have misread the name while studying a map of Chicago looking for a suitable suburb next to the airport.

Corrected mistake - thanks.

Do you live in Chicago? (How else would you know that detail?) I can't think of a Chicago setting movie to do as a crossover (Bugsy Malone with Angel I suppose) but now I wouldn't dare write one if that is your hometown.

The cruise ship is a deathtrap in more ways than one.

Thanks for the review and I'm grateful for the beta help as always.

I think Angel was originally from Galway but that's ok. You can have him come from the GREATEST COUNTY IN IRELAND if you want!!!
Comments from author:
Yes, well damn, he was raised in Galway but was born in Cork (because his mother was from there - Rachael does a quick Joss ret-con and adds that sentence to the chapter)

Review of chapter "A sad misfortune came over me" from (Current Donor)Hotpoint
Review:
“You’re from County Wexford.” County Cork born Angel experienced long forgotten inter-county rivalry surface in his bosom. “You think you people get the nickname ‘yellow-bellied’ because of the color of your Hurling team’s shirts? Think again.”

*twitches*

Somebody stake that undead monster from Munster right the hell now!

(You know they do say God invented drink to keep the Irish safely fighting each other instead of taking over the rest of the world :-p )
Comments from author:
'Somebody stake that undead monster from Munster right the hell now!'

That's a great line I might use myself one day if it's okay.

Thank you for review and you shall be credited at end of tale for yellow-bellied info never fear.

Review:
Pigpen! The last chapter was so hilarious I was just laughing and laughing!! I do have a question though, is Harriet Doyle's ex?
Comments from author:
Yes Harriet is Doyle's ex. I gave her the maiden name of Sulivan because I don't understand why she would be hanging on to her married name after four years of separation from Doyle. I'll add a note in this chapter to make that more clear.

Review of chapter "You'll find yourself in Van Diemen's Land" from Ouatic
Review:
So, what do zombie kitties eat?

Would have liked more details of the bachelor party but maybe that would have ruined it for me.

Considering the summary, having Xander just turn around and go home seems somehow anti-climactic.
Comments from author:
thank you for replying to my hours cheap soliciting. If you don't understand that don't worry, it had to do with an AN I put up for one hour only.

Your question has been answered in chapter six.

The bachelor party - I didn't want to do a repeat of The Bachelor Party episode of Angel but I did intend to have Rayvie as the stripper darn it.

Xander is back in chapter 6 with bells on.

Thank you very much for your review.

Make's you wonder the effect of Catnip on Zombie Moggies

Well it make's *me* wonder about it anyway.

Kneecapping, well it's a fine traditional pastime to be sure, but it's usually done with baseball bats in these fine days of peaceful negotiations and PIRA weapon decommisioning ;-)
Comments from author:
Don't forget this story is set in 1999 almost ten years ago now.

Catnip on Zombie pussy-cats well I'm not sure really.

Thank you very much for your review.

Review of chapter "You'll find yourself in Van Diemen's Land" from (Recent Donor)DaveTurner
Review:
Read this over breakfast and really enjoyed the chapter (apart from spraying Weetabix over my computer!). It's got everything! Religious maniacs, zombies, demons, the IRA and even a Knee capping! What more could a guy want at the breakfast table?

All the best,
DaveT.

PS: Strictly speaking the French burnt Joan d' Arc...can't have some peasant girl winning the war and eroding the power of the French despot now can we?
Comments from author:
Yes the French did burn that saintly heroine but it was an Irishman that was doing the retelling.

Thank you very much for your review, I always love hearing I make people spit out food on their monitor.

Review of chapter "You'll find yourself in Van Diemen's Land" from penguinsinlove
Review:
Kitty zombies, fantastic! And I really like that you didn't make Faith and Xander great friends or anything. I will say I was hoping for a little more smut when Faith and Connor got together. But eh. I like that she wouldn't want to have a latin tatoo. This Faith seems really in character for the timing. OH, and the chocolate bunnies made me giggle.
Comments from author:
thank you very much for your review, its always really useful to get feedback about what readers would like more of in a story.
