Although this is an oddly of yours, I have recently gone through the Anita Blake series because of your stories. And dispite its 2007ness it is still relevant. You seam to make the old new again, even with your untouched works. You make it seam real that Buffy is still protecting the innocent, and preventing even Anita who could become her replacement in hell, from doing the "right" thing and taking such a place.

This remains as one of the best stories I've read in quite some time. You are truly a great and evocative writer.
That said, I can't help but imagine a follow up in a totally different venue. One has to wonder that if MoD/Buffy ever did wake up, would she wind up getting back to her old self? I could just see her dragging anita shopping.
Totally doesnt fit with the awesomeness of Tidal Wave, but the idea amuses me none the less.

I love the explanation of how she became the mother of Darkness, and how alike she and Anita are. The only part of it I totally disagreed with was that one little word at the end. Fin. A nasty concept. :)
Man, this is just grand. This must be the fifth time I've read it.
I love how Buffy is all mega powerful and yet still herself in a way. Comparing her to Anita is kinda chilling for the Necromancer and yet it makes sense as to why Marmee Noir is so intruiged with her, wanting Death in her own way.

This story is so cool. I've read one other story with Buffy as the MoD and I honestly think yours is better. I hope you write more because I loved the interaction between Anita and Buffy, I'd love to see if Anita gives that oath or if Buffy has to kill her.
