Honestly, you rush far too much; a number of what are single or double paragraph 'scenes' could easily be entire 2000+ word chapters. Also, Willow the Wonder Witch, more powerful than everyone including ancient Nox? It's clichéd and it wasn't even that great the first time.

Lovely universe you've created here. I like how you manage to blend in sg1, bsg, heroes and btvs/ats, and have it make sense. Great storytelling; the characters are well-written and complex, the story has a nice flow to it, and the plot, as well as the overarching mythology of this universe, has stirred my interest. Thanks for sharing your story(-ies).

I think I found the reason why this entire chapter is in italics.

The reason is that you used 28 pairs of EM tags through the entire when you only needed one or perhaps two pairs of them.

Just remove all of them except those that surround the Author notes for this chapter and you should be fine.

I'm of two minds, I'm hoping that Illya stays "good" .. or at least Neutral towards humanity (after all, we're slime ... maybe less than that to her) ... I can see where she'd want to smack the ancients and company around a bit, but I also think she's of the mind to - let bygones be bygones, ... you leave me alone and I won't come back and destroy you ..... after smacking them around a bit.
