This is really one of my favourite stories here. You characterisation is just spot on, with all the characters. :D Totally looking forward to whatever may come (though, Connie's attraction to Buffy has me kinda wanting something to occur in that realm. Not looking likely, but I can hope :P)

Unfortunately, even if Connie felt stronger and Buffy reciprocated, they would be unlikely to follow up on those feelings. The modern US military of 2000 is highly against same-sex behavior. Don't ask, don't tell.

Glad to see Buffy taking care of business. She even managed to save the other two arms of the US military without even trying! Just wait till Cain or Walsh try to capture her and stick her in one of the cages under Sunnydale. I wonder if she will arrive back in Sunnydale under her own steam or as an unconscious passenger? And will only one scooby be enough to defeat Cain - or will she have to bring in Jack and his big guns?
