Review:
I really enjoyed this.
The early Anite Blake books were some of my faves (they just got incredibly ridiculous later on).
And Buffy is one of my all-time favourite shows.
I'm really enjoying all of your stories I've read so far.
Fantastic stuff.

Review of chapter "Chapter Nine" from BrownFinderth
Review:
Saint Louis, eh? Nice touch!! I can understand, I think, how Buffy might be very upset at the news from Jean Claude, that apparently her watchers never mentioned to her!

Review of chapter "Chapter Nine" from (Past Donor)Dakaath
Review:
So, its been a long time since this was finished, but I just recently found it after looking for Anita Blake crossovers.

First, I love that its a cross at the beginning of the AB series, as I like the first books much, much more then the later ones, which turn all slutty and seem to lack the plot and the whole idea of clinging to humanity while fighting monsters. I felt that was a big part of what made the series appealing, and you managed to capture that with Buffy and the idea of the Slayer.

All the characters were excellent, as was Buffy's dialogue, it was very entertaining to read.

All in all, a very awesome story that I wish I had found earlier.

Great story.

Review of chapter "Chapter Nine" from maxthehobbit
Review:
Very different with a council of vampires and being in St Louis. Kinda left things hanging with the Giles going to kill her thing. That Jean-Claude seems kinda even more gay than the Angel character in the original series of Buffy. Don't know anything about this Anita Blake character, but she was a minor character any way.

I really liked this story, hope you finish the other stories you've started. I Never read unfinished stories since so many authors Never finish them.

Good Job!

Review of chapter "Chapter Nine" from laoshi
Review:
Your alternative mythology of the creation of the Slayers is well thought out and vividly described. Giles's sin of omission is a good parallel for his betrayal of Buffy during the cruiciamentum. I've mentioned a Buffy/Anita/JC triumvirate before, the revelations contained in this chapter would seem to create the need for something like it. If the Slayer is capable of accepting vampire marks perhaps that and whatever strange connection Buffy shares with Anita would be enough to give the resulting gestalt a chance to keep the Slayer from shattering Buffy's sanity. On the other hand perhaps all it would accomplish would be to drag Anita and Jean Claude into the same abyss. I would have like more of an exploration into Buffy's reaction to these awful truths, but I guess that will be addressed in the sequel. Oh, and what does meurtier mean? I'm guessing slayer because it's similar to death.

Review of chapter "Chapter Eight" from laoshi
Review:
The juxtaposition between the bubbly teenager and the sociopathic demon, which is at the heart of the appeal of this story in general and your interpretation of Buffy in particular reaches a climax in this chapter. Buffy letting the Slayer out to play, before Buffy bits rain down, is my favourite part of this story. Anita gets it wrong Buffy's got Nikolaos beat in the scariness stakes, and the scariest bit is her high after killing Nikolaos, in that terrible moment when you think not she might not be able to stop herself, but that she won't want to. Moments like Buffy starting blowing bubbles and then worrying about her hair are why I read this story. Nikolaos's incredulity is just plain funny. A song of ruin is a nice phrase. Jean-Claude seems understandably freaked out by Buffy. i can't wait to see what they'll make of each other in the next chapter.

Review of chapter "Chapter Seven" from laoshi
Review:
I've no idea who Pat and Vanna are, although i surmise from the context they're game show hosts. I wish you'd gone a little bit more into what letting the Slayer take control felt like for Buffy. Coupled with Anita's speculation at the the beginning of the chapter, I would guess giving the Slayer control like that isn't good in the long term for Buffy's sanity or her life expectancy. Buffy's differing reactions over ghouls and vamps was an interesting tangent. The most interesting development in the chapter is obviously Anita and Buffy's mutual power spikes. What is the connection between Slayers and Necromancers. Was it a necromancer who created the Slayer line. Was this the first step to a JC/Anita/Buffy triumvirate? Buffy eating Edward out of house and home was a great moment. I don't want to jump on the slightest pretext, but are you considering a Buffy Raphael pairing or were you just emphasizing Buffy's post slay cravings?

Review of chapter "Chapter Six" from laoshi
Review:
Buffy really should give lessons on how to get what you want. She employs the classic strategy of giving up something she knows she doesn't have a chance of getting for something she does. I am feeling nostalgic for my first reading of this story at this point I was busy speculating about why Giles thought he would have to use those weapons on Buffy. That aside, you give the reader just enough info to leave us begging for more. Just like Edward it doesn't take much to keep me happy. In this case a new Buffy based coinage is more than sufficient: Buffyquisition. Good One.

Review of chapter "Chapter Five" from laoshi
Review:
Insulting Edward's fashion sense was a fantastic way for Buffy to make the opening conversational gambit. He is a really unfathomable guy. He finally meets someone who gets the better of him and he starts having violence fantasies about her. I do have to admit I have a weakness for crazy female characters. River Tam and Luna Lovegood to name but two, so I'm really enjoying the direction your taking Buffy. Besides being creepy as hell, the juxtaposition between the perky teenage and the I-torture-vampires-so-bad-normal-people-throw-up persona is really fascinating. And she sure is scary. Edward is just one of those unflappable characters, if he's scared everybody should be terrified.

Review of chapter "Chapter Four" from laoshi
Review:
Smoking Mice. Hilarious. i was pleasantly surprised about how well thought out your insertion, not only of Buffy, but also the Slayer line into the Anitaverse is. Imprisonment is a very believable response by the vampire council to the existence of Slayers. of course they would see it as the better option. When will Giles be letting Buffy in on this handy piece of information? If the rest of this story was just Buffy and Anita sitting around talking I'd still read it. The characterisation was spot on. Having Edward come in at the end was a wonderful way to finish the chapter. It really makes me want to jump straight into the next one.
