It's a shame fanfic awards aren't as big these days, because you deserve one for your Riley, here. The guy's probably tied with Wood for "more likely to be portrayed badly or made the scapegoat than shown well," and the character deserves better. Accordingly, I liked Faith's appraisal of him here. (Heck, the entire section with Faith, Riley, Snape, and DDore all together was really good.) No one ever does poor Riley justice as more than a side character, but I think you actually did.
Your Faith is a LITTLE more hardcore and sexual than I'm inclined to think, but that doesn't mean it's wrong in the slightest, Faith post-Angel appearances didn't have an overabundance of opportunities to show us just how sexual she was when she wasn't locked into self-destruction. Oh, on that note? Probably the best interpretation into her Xander-choking mindset I've seen. Also like Ri's idea that Faith's sexuality isn't just a defense but an exaggerated disguise like Buffy's over-the-top ditz act.
The entire fic's pretty good, what sets it apart is keeping it to just those 2 characters from the Buffyverse combined with doing them very, very well.

Finished the whole story in one read. Excellently written. The emotions. The tension. Bella, you wrote a very impressive Bella. She had all the unpredictability & insanity of canon. That is one character that gives me the shivers. I like the Faith Severus interaction. Two tortured people living through their crusades. You write a mean Faith (but, small niggle, how many times did you write the word babe?). The scene with Voldemort was written with all the suspense & danger evident. Did so enjoy that you left a little window open for a sequel. Thankyou for the entertaining story.

I quite liked this story. A fun, diverting romp away from grand plots and designs and final epic showdowns. Sure, there was darkness and seriousness all throughout, but I quite enjoyed Faith's attitude that this was just another day in the office, so to speak. Faith's always been an interesting character, and you write her very well. You also made good use of Riley, who was one of my least favorite characters in the show. But in this story, he was believable as the boy scout soldier stuck in a situation out of his league. And Snape was written just brilliantly. Really, amazing work here. Thank you for this wonderful story. ^_^

Wow, I completely and utterly loved this! It was such a brilliant and absolutely wonderfully written story! I really do love the Faith/Severus pairing-- they're so much alike and have many of the same issues/past mistakes. Also their interactions in this were so spot on for each character and I love how natural it all felt. Well done.

I also really enjoyed the parts with Riley as well and I'm definitely glad that him and Faith both made it back ok. Riley getting turned into a snake numerous times though, was just priceless. *giggles* He really had it bad while in the Potter verse...

The whole part with Voldemort and his Death Eaters was fabulously intense and I so enjoyed Faith baiting Bellatrix and getting a few shots in. Completely hilarious. I think Bella has finally meet her match. *grins*

Too bad about Faith and Sev splitting up, but it did make sense for the story and really was the perfect, and realistic ending for them.

Anyways, I enjoyed this story to bits... Thanks so much for writing it!!!

Wow, excellent story. There are so many fics out there making parallels between Willow and Severus, but I think you are really on the mark with Faith and his relationship. I liked that no one (save Riley for the one section) tried to lecture them on redemption. It's more believable that everyone is just trying to do their best and sometimes being lucky.

Kinda wishing there was some sort of sequel where Snape makes an appearance in the BtVS dimension. Thanks again for the wonderful story.

Amazing- I have never been able to see Snape as an attractive person. All of the other stories I started reading that had him as romantic partner just left me cold. However, wow, when you wrote the ..(flirting.. just isn't really strong enough) scenes when Faith is propositioning/groping Snape there was real hotness. I loved it. The angst you showed in each of them was very moving and true to what I know of the characters, I also, would like to see a sequel set awhile later, Snape mixing with the Scoobies could be so much fun. Another excellent story, going outside your comfort zone can be disturbing, but you can prove to yourself that you can do it. Thank you, I'm always glad to see any of your stories.

Wonderful story. Faith and Snape's parting was sad, full on longing and wistfulness for something they both want but couldn't have for one reason or another. What I like most about this story was even though there was an attraction between them, what kept the two apart was less about their current situation and more about who they were. I kept thinking that they could make it work despite the risk but both characters seemed convince that happiness doesn't exist for people like them. This was a wonderful pairing and you wrote it so well that now you have me wondering why there hasn't been more stories with this paring. This was truly inspirational and I hope to see more stories of this nature. Great job!

I'm so glad you enjoyed the story. I definitely wanted to give them a moment of happiness, but both of them are too dedicated to their causes to ever pick happiness over completing their mission. They feel responsible, and Faith is far enough along her path that she would switch worlds, but she won't put more people in danger just for her own pleasure, and if Voldemort caught her, then lots of people would be in danger. I'm just so glad I could help you see/like this pairing because I adore the thought of Severus and Faith together.
