Well now...this has to be one of the most intriguing concepts I've seen for a Buffy-Firefly crossover, and it certainly explains where River would have gotten her psychic abilities from, though I guess this means Reagan Tam (the canonical character listed as the wife of Gabriel Tam) is River and Simon's step-mother. I can only imagine the sheer hell Cordelia would bring down on the Academy for daring to lay one finger on her daughter. Though the guilt for not being there to protect River in the first place will probably be rather heavy on her heart...

Somehow I missed this when it was written. It's a neat little piece of fic. I can tell you put a lot of work into it by the way it flows. It's got everything it needs and nothing it doesn't (except for a happy ending for the Tam kids).

Oh, I would love to see this story continue on. Even though it was pretty short, it was very attention getting and had a very promising start. Great job!

AIII! Please continue this! It's such an interesting concept! Especially if you move it up after the BDM, and show Cordy's reaction to what happened to River. Or even her perspective on finding out her children were wanted fugitives. Please, more, please!

I generally dislike Cordelia, but this is so interesting! Fits both of Joss Whedon's worlds into one another and I just really like it.

This story was gorgeous. Sad, but gorgeous. I gotta say, though, I think that Cordelia would feel obligated to look after her kids once she realized that they were in trouble. Are you planning on writing the time they meet up again?
