As I said in my other reviews of your stories, you are very good at descryptions and showing character emotions and describing character relationships even without dialogue. This is your greatest strength. And this is your best story so far.

"My daughter," said Gloin, and his voice ached with pride. "She who is called Bodvildr Gloinal, the Draugnir." The girl looked at Gloin, then, and the set of her lips was as dwarvenly stubborn as any expression Faramir had ever seen. Gloin grunted, then sighed. "Buffy," he growled reluctantly. ~ That one interaction, from 'ached with pride' to 'growled reluctantly', tells as well as several chapters would of the depth of affection in the father-daughter relationship between the two. Superbly written.

Faramir wondered what sort of Man was the kind to be raised by Dwarves and taken for one of their own. He only knew of that particular people what he had heard—grim, severe, lovers of honor and courage and gold, a terrible foe and the truest friend, in the field either a rock at your back or a hammer at your throat, a warrior culture where an oath was inviolate and an oathbreaker the most hated of any kind of wrongdoer. They were a tough, unyielding people..... A child of Men would have to be stalwart indeed to be reared by Dwarves..... .....was he a foundling, who by some act of courage or resoluteness had impressed them enough to take him into their house? ~ In the absence of any prequels at this point, the groundwork for Buffy having come to be with the Dwarves is laid up superbly in this fic itself. But since I'm absolutely greedy for great fics, going to hope you do find the time and inspiration for a prequel at some point. Thanks yet again for the treat this one has been.

Faramir heard more of elven lineage and elvish opinions on Dwarves in two days than he had ever heard before in his life, or ever really wanted to. Boromir would have been bored out of his wits. ~ ...laughing at the thought of Faramir whiling away his time listening to Elves gossip about Dwarves. ~ LOL.

Absolutely fantastic. This fic from Faramir's POV leading up to the reveal of Buffy as fostered by the Dwarves is mindblowingly perfect, and pretty much begging for prequels and sequels. The comments from that one character's POV on situations, races as well as other characters are superb, flavoured with exactly the right quantities of every emotion. Like the most scrumptious dish that you can never have too many helpings of.

You are incredible. I am *this* close to hero worship. Ah man, I love the build-up to the 'big reveal' - as it were - and think it's a brilliant plot device to lead up to Buffy joining the fellowship. Short, sweet and tantalising.

...I would LOVE to read more of this story. I've read plenty of ff that has to do with Buffy falling into Middle-Earth with Gandalf, Aragorn, or the Elves, but this is the first I've seen of her falling in with the Dwarves. And if you think about it, they're the only race that would actually be best for her needs, considering the Dwarves believe in their women being able to fight for themselves, even if it generally isn't their first priority. *thumbs up*

Oh God, I really wish you would continue this! Buffy, the adopted daughter of dwarves! Priceless, truly priceless. And seeing her interact with Faramir some more would be amazing. Please write more on this? Please?

I love it. This is one of the best LOTR stories. The Dwarfs seem right for Buffy, not the Elves. Please do another chapter until the Fellowship leaves on their quest. I would love to see their reactions when they find out who she really is and what she is capable of doing.
