I always did like Kendra and felt she never really got the attention she deserved.. not mention utterly pathetic way she died. I mean come on heat of a battle and Dru just mind controls/hypnotizes her to the point of standing still while Dru slits her throat is a bit silly, shouldn't the slayer have resistance or immunity to a vampire power like that? If not why wasn't Buffy and countless other slayers killed that way, it's not like they are great fountains of mental strength most of the time? Add to that no one really cared or screamed vengeance over it. Sort like how spike can kill two slayers, boast about it and then be buddy buddy with everyone later.

I like the idea of Kendra being there earlier, possibly being hooked up with Xander and the first layer possession has a lot of potential to that I have not even seen used on Buffy or anything either. Not only would it give Kendra the passion she always lacked but if she can remember enough of HOW the slayer was made, that perhaps something like the ancient council shoved a demon inside a normal girl and used her like an attack dog she might even rebel.

Remember the Master did something similar to Buffy at the end of Season One, Hypnotized her, then drained her and threw her in a pool of water, not saying that it didn't seem like a total cop out to kill a character but at least it was a cop out they had some background with.

Spike... well my views on Spike say he should be a villain or a reluctant hero, Angel felt bad for a hundred years after he got his soul back... Spike felt bad for what? a month or two.

and Yeah, primal possessed Kendra (With Super-Action Kung-Fu Grips...) will not likely be a big fan of the council.

With a little creativity Kendra as Sineya can have lots of interesting possibilities.

Do please try to stay away from the Xander sue which is the bane of most Halloween stories.

Liz Marcs is probably even more of an Avid Xander than anyone on this site, yet she easily manages to keep her Xander completely off the sue-meter. I'm a huge Xander fan myself, but Xander centric fic doesn't have to turn into Xander sue. Alas, it seems to the majority of the time.
