I am probably one of a few dozen the world wide that has never read or watched Harry Potter. Of course you can't help still knowing the basic characters and some of the story lines unless you live in a cave, which I don't.
I never would have thought of Xander as an animal -- it has some interesting possibilities, but so far I don't get what is happening -- I hope you plan to write more so I can see where this goes.

I cracked up laughing as soon as I read the section where Malfoy is griping about wanting to get Harry's attention. Classic brattiness, and Snape is just amused. I love your characterization of the Potion's Master, by the way. I think it would be fun to have him meet Spike, see who could be the most sarcastic. It would be a close call as to who would win *grins*.
I really want to see how the relationship between Harry and Xander pans out. Will it be romantic, or have you already reserved that for Draco? How's about a threesome? Yes, I have a dirty mind. But come on, the image of those three pretties together... Love this story so far, really hope to see more soon. Pretty please with sugar and candy and chocolate-covered Spikes on top?

In a way yeah he did. In the next chapter everyone will read why Xander did what he did. He's a magical creature after all and can do a lot of freaky things! ^_^
