I just re-read this...again... and still love it. I'll join in with the crowd and say "I hope you get bit by the bug again soon and that your Muse gifts you with a plot line you like," cause seriously I want to read more in this verse, sooner rather than later =)

I can't promise anything, but I will take it under advisement.

Without hesitation one of the best series I've read on this site, the writing is very good and the story is excellent. Congratulations, and thanks.
There is one thing that bothers me about this story, though. Any time Satsu's identity is mentioned, she's just another random Slayer ; but she's not! She was Buffy's *lover*. I kept waiting for that to be ackowledged, but it got pretty much ignored as if it had never happened.
Comments from author:
Well as most of this was written before Satsu became that, I haven't ever felt the need to go back and change it. The comics were in its first few issues when this came out and to be honest I didn't and don't follow them, because I just think the story is too weird and messy in its story telling for my taste. So this story is not comic-verse compatible even if it is related. As for Buffy's lesbian tryst I thought it was sad they wrote it and then threw it away much like the later abortion story. It feels a bit like headline baiting to be honest.

Thank you for writing this series! It was an immensely entertaining, complex layered story, highly lausible and well-thought out. I've been hard-pressed to interrut my reaading once % started. I do hope you continiue to write again. There are so many possibilities you can think of about the Ori, Atlantis, the group of the rebel female Jaffa, the Jaffa that's always been free and was hidden for centuries even amongst the Jaffa thenmselves. And of course Buffy has yet to find the man who'll love her as she loves him (one of the downside she thought of in her current universe). Will it be Mitchell, Sheppard, Lorne, Ronon an Atosian perhaps? Or if you reaally want a supremely complex issue, why not let Michael of the hybrid wraith turned human love her? Or maybe Buffy Carter would need not look far away at all for the romantic love of her life bec a certain friend has been there all along? A certain 40-year old teenager (wink, wink). Oh do write again pleeease!
Comments from author:
Hi there.
I am writing :) but my muse is diverted to other stories unrelated to this series at the moment which was also why I never continued. I'd rather be sure I can finish what I start rather than starting something and not being able to finish it or being satisfied with the results. So I am sorry I can't promise anything new here even though I have 2-3 (some 30k words) written of the final part of the trilogy, but I have already decided to redo them because I felt like the story sucked so...

Great story and series. I hope the writing bug bites again because you left some things unexplained at the end there.
I have high hopes that you can continue to write this series and it would be fun to see the interactions between Buffy and Vala, two cheeky, smart-mouthed women that love to cause chaos for those around them, as well as Buffy and Ronon, two warriors that enjoy the thrill of the fight, and her reintroduction to McKay after so long since the Alarm Impression Incident, if she goes with Sam to Atlantis.
Edit: 10 Dec 2012 If you're having some problems with a plot, maybe you should just put Buffy on Atlantis during the Ori Saga at the behest of the IOA or is kidnapped by her new ship and have the big thing come after that and Continuum and then coincide with the end of Atlantis for Buffy's big destiny.
Hopefully that will help you with the writing bug, but sometimes the best way to get back into things is to revisit them from the beginning cause you might notice something you didn't before.

Thank you for the review. I hope it bites me too.

I really hope you write the next part someday. If you're looking for an idea, here's one: Instead of dealing with the Ori, you could send SG-1 to Atlantis to deal with the Wraith, the evil Asgard, that alien race from Daedalus Variations, or something like that. And for a personal level, you could let Buffy find love out there...
Comments from author:
I must say I would prefer the Ori to the Wraith, honestly I never clicked with Atlantis like I did with SG-1. And the personal level thing is a major part of the outline that I have. However I am currently mixed up in two other rather epic activities (running my own business and writing a huge fanfiction thing that I will probably never be able to finish and which has nothing to do with BtVS or Stargate) that means I won't be revisiting this series any time soon if ever unless my muse suddenly goes on a Stargate / Buffy craze again. I do have the first chapter and a complete outline for the last part of the series written and I did that long ago but I haven't been able to write the actual story yet, it is simply not interesting enough for me and that will translate onto the page and thus it will be crap to read as well. So rather than deliver crap I choose not to continue with this and I feel I left it in a good place.

This is my second read-through, and it is still amazing. Too many times a story can seem not quite so brilliant on second or third perusals, but this one holds up.
I do hope that you are able to get to your third in this series. Mainly because I'm really emotionally invested in the characters and world you've presented. But, there's a bit of evil laughter in my head on wanting to see Vala held up in the air from her leather choker by:
Buffy: "-My- Daniel? Are you serious? Do you honestly think that insanely brilliant man with a soul so gentle, would want a conniving, self centred, thieving -bitch- such as you?"
Jack in the background: "Uh oh. Danny, I think you've just become Buffy's first crush. Well, second first crush. Whatever. Take advantage of that and I'll end you."
*Daniel looks nervous, then offended, then frog punches Jack's shoulder* "You can be a real jackass Jack."
Vala still hanging by Buffy's fist: "What the hell are you?"
Comments from author:
Not entirely what I would have done (and Daniel is definitely off the menu as the "boyfriend"), but a good snippet there. I am glad you like it. I have been kinda getting a lot of anxious requests about this lately. I know people want it, but I can't get myself to begin writing this and maybe post a few chapters before it turns out not to be what I am inspired to do. The inspiration could be right around the corner or a while away I don't know. Just don't expect too much from me I barely have time to sleep at the moment let alone write fanfiction.

I think this is the third time I've read this and I think the ending is good to close this series. The only way I could see this continuing for a third story would be Dawn escaping her Earth because her husband was murdered and of course, her young daughter would come with her ... I'm getting way off track now.
You didn't leave too many opening ... Ba'al has been half decimated, replicators destroyed. Buffy has made her decision to stay in her new life and her old friends and sister are okay with it.
Overall good job, great series and very entertaining. Good Luck in whatever you choose to write next.
Thanks for posting this great series.

I really hope you will get your muse starting. I was hoping for some romance maybe between Cameron or John Sheppard or some other cute person. A well everything I can do is waiting. Love the series read it twice now.
Comments from author:
Hi, I am not sure about cute person but I had it in mind for Buffy to have a relationship in the next story. I had even picked the person. But I don't write much at the moment so nothing has really happened here for over a year. I do have the first chapter done but since I don't feel like writing the entire thing I haven't posted anything.

I sincerely hope your Muse works with you on a new plot line for a third story in this series. I've fallen in love with this series and would love to read more.
Comments from author:
You're not alone to my surprise. I am sorry to say that I have yet to find enough motivation to start back up. I am only lacking motivation though. The plot is fully outlined, romantic interests are lined up and I think I may even have solved the Ori problem (although that one is iffy).

I really like this series. I read it several times. I'm still hoping on a third story. An story where Buffy still fights, graduates, gets her own team and finally finds love and her uncle giving the so called shovel speech.
I admit. I like all your writings. Thanks for writing them.
Comments from author:
Thanks first of all for liking my stuff. I wrote them mostly for myself so to speak. It was and still is a bit unnerving for me to post any sort of stuff publicly. I don't have a lot of time to write any more but I still have the wish to do so, however I am trying to do original work now, mostly to challenge myself to create my own characters and see if I can actually create a universe on my own.
However I still intend to write fanfiction at some point, but the projects I have inspirations for are almost impossible (one of them would be a complete rewrite of Harry Potter where the Prophecy would be on all three members of the trio and the magical world more complex and magicky). I have actually written some stuff for a third story in this series (two chapters worth and an outline for the initial parts of the story) but the drive to actually write it is lacking and as long that is the case I won't start posting anything.

I hope you are going to write "Bring on the Fire" soon since it's been over 2 and 1/2 years.
RepliCarter was immortal and knew Buffy wasn't. Are the nanites she put in Buffy going to activate when she is fully grown and make changes (without having to do anything more after that) to stop her aging process, forever? Along with extreme disease resistance? Plus anything else you can come up with for the nanites to do (non-harmful of course)?
Comments from author:
Thanks for the review. As for the nanites well their purpose was tied to the ship mentioned at the ending of the show and a few other things. At least that was the idea.
As for "Bring on the Fire" I have to say that it looks like I am not going to write it. In fact as it looks right now I am done with fanfiction in general as I am too busy with life, business and writing in my own original settings. I will not say never, but I have to call it highly unlikely at this point.

I just discovered and plowed through this series, and loved it dearly. Thank you so much for writing it, and may your life be fun and successful and fulfilling.. and someday give you time and inspiration for more stories. :)
Comments from author:
The inspiration is not lacking it is the time :) I have a metric ton of ideas just not the time to do them all, but I am writing on several small project that might one day get posted.
