Brilliant! I like it. Very well-written as well. :) And, this has inspired me to write a new Buffy/Yu-Gi-Oh crossover oneshot with the pairing of Dawn Summers and Yami Bakura as well... ;)

I'll add my voice to the many others that plead for a follow-up to this. You're right when you say that Methos is twisted enough to be the Immortal mentioned. No one could live for 5000 years and not be a little bit dark like that. Not to mention he was 'Death'. All I ask is that he doesn't try to hide it from Buffy. My guess is that she's had enough of the vampires' possessiveness and deciding things 'for her own good' that she'd be more than happy to go along with it. Not sure Spike would have stood a chance had he gone to her when Andrew was there, but not telling her he was back? Oh, no...not a smart move there fangboy!

This is fantastic. But the story your adding it too ... 'When The Future Beckons'. I was not overly impressed though it is well written. It was the plot that i had a problem with. The whole Angel/Cordy ruined it for me. And going into the future... Your choice.
I would have written a story of Methos hunting her down and getting together despite Angel trying to get in the way. That would have been better i think. I'm a big Methos/Buffy fan. Think about doing another story to do with this.

I can never get enough of Methos, and somehow he seems a more intriguing choice for Buffy's particular Immortal than Duncan or any of the others. Nice work.

I like this, but please be clear where you might be AU to what we "learned" in the Angel series about the immortal. I'd rather Methos not be the one they talked and showed about there.

I'm sorry to hear that. After re watching Highlander, Methos' parts in general I can really see The Immortal as Methos. There were and are so many different layers to his character. The only time we ever got to trully see a softer, gentler Methos was when he fell in love with Alexa and when she died it left him more bitter and scarred than before.

I think Methos would have found it great fun to rile up two vampires over women, and getting them better of them while he was at it. He would see great sport in being able to get Spike and Angel's woman yet again.

If I decide to continue with the story I hope you will read it and enjoy. Thank you so much for your comment. Every opinion even if it does not mesh with mine is always welcome.

I like Methos as the Immortal that she was involved with. I sure hope there will be many more meetings!

I haven't fully decided yet if I will make another part to this story. If I do I will let you know. I don't want to spread myself too thin and away from When The Future Beckons since that is my main story. I hope you keep reading and enjoying.
