Her voice became cold. “Without The Slayer, I’m weak. You’ve made me weak and because of that people may die. I’d be stronger if I let her loose, but she’d kill anyone she felt was a threat; not caring if innocents died in the process. I saved you from her once, Chuck. But you gotta see - I walked this earth for over 700 years. She’s lived in me and in others before me for untold thousands of years. She’s stronger than me. I might not be able to save you from her again, after your little … mind-rape.”

She turned back to Dru, who was listening quietly. “You remembered in your dream that I didn’t want you killing, didn’t you?” She nodded her head excitedly. “Yes! You said we could be friends if I was a good girl. So I taught myself to be a good girl for you! I’ve hardly killed anybody in months!”
Ah... there's no Buffy here.
Amazing fic, btw.

The bloodlust of the Slayer, her dispassionate analysis of the X Men and their values - fascinating.
PS: Anya would be thrilled. One less bunny in the world.

Poor wittle bunny wabbit.
You know, I never liked Anya much, but after reading a few fics talking about her trying to blend into humanity after so long working against and outside of humanity ... I've grown to rather like her, bluntness and all. Besides, tact is just not saying true stuff. Perhaps I'll try a story about her at some point.
Thanks for reading and reviewing!

Logan continued, “I’m sorry about all that, by the way. He really does mean well. He just doesn’t get it. He’s got great intentions – always has. But … the old guy's young, in many ways. He thinks blocking parts of us or pulling other parts to the fore will make it all better. I can’t believe he forced it like that, though. I know he works at me when I’m not looking, but to be honest, the calm he gives me is kinda nice sometimes. Hate to admit it.”
Nice to see someone firing back at X for ignoring privacy, and to see him making mistakes.

Thanks! X-Men 3, with that whole 'I'm going to make your decisions for you, but it's all for your own protection' thing, kinda pissed me off.

Review of chapter "Leaving Them Alive" from ShyBob
Review:
Well done! I rarely finish an X-men cross, as writers' enthusiasm usually outweighs their artistic and grammatical talents. I thought your characterizations of the three primaries was spot-on, although I'm not convinced that Logan would react favorably to Dru (although I guess you can argue he doesn't). Keep up the good work.

Thanks for your kind words and encouragement! I've been working on the sequel a bit slower than the original, but I'm feeling re-inspired now that She Walked has been nominated for the COAs for best X-Men crossover! I"m just silly with excitement!
