I don't think I've ever read this before (which is a shame) but now that I have I'm kind of addicted to this 'verse...and I was wondering if perhaps there would ever be another short along the same vein? please?

Glad you like it, but sorry, no. I never really got into Firefly and this story was only written on a prompt, as a present. I do have a few more drabbles tucked away in 'Another Soldier', I think, but I guarantee nothing, since they're ages and ages old.

You have a serious immortal Buffy trend going in your stories. I like it, it gives you way more time to play with. And when you start playing with time and Buffy, very pretty word sequences end up on my screen.

Brilliant! I love the way you interwove the image of Wash's plastic dinosaur with Buffy's immortal other-ness and the sheer archaic lunatic familial friendship that binds Mal and his crew to one another, not to mention River's knowledge of the battles and foes of eons past.

Good story; interesting setting. I find myself hoping this fic inspires you to do a full series sometime in the future - although I know it is hard to come up with a 'new story' for Buffy + Firefly, your writing and the emotional depth still would make it work.
