I really hope you plan on continuing this story. I love the way Draco is growing. Keeping Cassie would be awesome, her and Dawn would be great friends. Great work!

Review:
Hey I say let her live. Having the first show up as Tara would shake them all up a lot, and if Draco is there have a couple of dead hogwarts students show and maybe Dumbledor.

The stories good keep it up.

Review:
I love your story! I seen other versions similar to this and yours is by far the best. It has the complexity the other lacked. I really like what you've done with this.
Anyways, about your question. I don't think you should keep Cassie. I like to think that the reason the First could not take Tara's form because she was too good. I know that's a bit idealistic, but that's the way I think of it. Tara was such a light for the group and I doubt Willow would disbelieve anything she said. I think she might have listened more to it in her emotional state, which would have been much worse if Tara was the one delivering the message. She wouldn't have had the rationality to see the lies. But that's just my opinion.

Good luck, ThreeMoons

I think you should keep Cassie alive. She wasn't very important in the show, but having a seer on their side would be extreamly helpful. Love your story.

Review:
Interesting question. Cassie wasn't important overall... though it was funny to find out that Willow at one point in her life had a website filled with poetry devoted to Xander Harris (imagine the world if Xander had gotten hit with a clue stick during S1 and realized Willow was a girl ) ---
Dawn definitely needed friends... but what about Carlos & Kit? Seen only in S7.1, mentioned a few times (she was on the phone with Kit during Conversations with Dead People when things "got weird" )--.
The only thing against keeping Cassie around is that her Seer-ability is too good. Not just vague slayer-dreams you have to interpret. She "knows". So my vote on Cassie is "no!" (regretfully) but I'd like to see Kit/Carlos again. Hey. They already know about the supernatural, that Buffy is the slayer, the whole 9 yards. In fact Joss I think was planning on making them her 'scrappy gang' (Fox network execs nixed the idea and ordered him to dump that whole plotline, from what I've read). So just restore his original idea!

I don't remember Cassie. If you think it's easier to kill her rather than create a personality for her, then keep to the story line. Dawn gets other friends later.

The original intention for "Conversations with Dead People" was to use Tara. If you feel that Cassie must live, do it.

Review:
I add my vote to keeping her alive. Perhaps even make her the daughter of two purebloods that fled to Sunnydale long ago to hide from Voldie Butt, abandoned their magic after using a charm to wipe their memories clean so as not to be tempted by the Dark Magiks around the Hellmouth and to better hide themselves from Voldie. Perhaps they worked for him..perhaps not.

Drake discovers her witch powers and starts to mentor her as does Willow.

Any way you cut it. I vote keep her alive. Dawn needs her own group darn it!

I think that you should let her live. I think that she would turn out to be a great friend to Dawn, and also would somehow get along with Drake also. Heather/angelfanic

I always thought that Cassie should have lived. But if you don't want to write her in you could always use Mike anyway. You know, Dawn helps him grieve and all that. He could be her Xander.
