Review:
I just reread the entire fic and I can't wait for the next chapter. I think Sheppard and Rory could be good for each other.
Please update soon!

I just can't help it. While this storys quality is great in any way I can think of, the thought of John/Rorry is just icky. Maybe it's just my Mcshep boy self talking but even if they don't love each other like that. The fact that He saw his best friend in her the very second he met her make the whole thing smell like incest. Not that it really is, just feels like it.

Um.. John was the one that got that Rory is Rodneys kid long before anyone ells. He slept with her. is he transferring?
Comments from author:
The long answer would take a few paragraphs, so I'll give the short answer instead: Not really but a little bit of yes. John's always a little fuzzy on the details of his emotional life... but in two chapters, we'll see the ramifications for his actions in recent chapters.
Cheers!

Wanted to beg for another chapter. This story is lovely. Rory's search for her biological father was heartbreaking. She's really grown as a character. Can't wait to see what you do with this story next!

Review of chapter "Twentieth Century Boy" from Leeson
Review:
I will admit, I had my doubts. I approached this story with not a little trepidation (and very much desperation). I pictured myself helplessly Twittering in horror and continuing to read. See, I do that. I'm a Draco/Hermione fan, it's in my blood to stick with the suck. That, and long-lost-family fics tend toward the poorer.
You've proven me disgustingly wrong and blown me straight from the water, though. Physics of the Spin has been brilliant. Your plotting, your pacing, your characterisation, your style, most of your grammar (Note: Muphry's Law is now in effect. Affect? Gorramit, Muphry!) and simply the entire package. I have seriously not been this impressed by a Stargate-verse crossover fic in a good long while and am chuffed to find that you are so magnificently, fantastically brilliant.
Now, I can see this happening. I needed to be talked into it a bit, but you managed that beautifully (and the banner with Rodney and Rory gave me a visual push) and with aplomb. Rory's journey is grasping, intelligent and beatific and you seem to manage to frame the story with such a delicate piping of scientific theory. That you don't insist to go into fine detail is on-point - this is Rory's journey, it feels like, and having the tease of the theory there feels more natural than a schematic, so-to-speak, of fictional theoretical physics. (Or even real theoretical physics - I am unaware your educated background on the matter.)
The most engaging bits are while we are in Rory's head. While your Rory is different from the one we see in canon, you account for that and I can very much see that girl we knew getting to this girl were knowing in a fairly basic step-frame process. I am giddy to see where you take this character on her journey. One qualm I could say, a minor criticism, is that Rory's speech seems somewhat stiff, even accounting, but it is minor and may just be my reading.
Your other characters are...perfect. Your Vala...well, I do hope we see her again, the same as Daniel. McKay and Sheppard are so well pitched. So many people try to soften McKay's edges or to play-up Sheppard's *ahem* obvious male attributes. You play them off of one another and everyone else with such a sanguine canon-honesty that I really cannot applaud you enough. Rory and Sheppard felt like an amazingly natural progression while the father/daughter relationship between Rory and McKay has enough awkwardness to feel honest but not so much as to flounder in the reality.
I hope to see, in future, a progression to indicate Rory's seeming super-brain - were it to be left a thread un-followed I admit, I would feel somewhat cheated out of a seemingly significant nugget of plot - and I would love to see where the interpersonal aspect of Rory/Sheppard comes to, and how McKay would handle that. And I simply am dying to see your interpretation of how Lorelai would react to this situation. Most importantly, I'm excited to see how you take this, what you give these characters and where there world is heading.
Keep on, Leeson
PS - I've not tracked a new story in...a good long while, but you have forced my hand in the matter. I look forward to chapter 22.

Omg, that was awesome! I loved your resolution to the gay issue, and the awkwardness between John and Rory (just because I'm hoping they get un-awkward later mind you), and his reaction to Teyla's inquiry was great. Thank you so much for the update. It totally made my day!

Great to see another chapter. I like how you dealt with Herrera's situation and Sheppard's response to it. Fascinating as well is the fact that the "don't ask don't tell" policy has recently been in the news due to Obama's speech. Here's to hoping his presidency brings a forward momentum to this issue in the American armed forces and would hopefully lead to open acceptance of homosexual personnel in its armed forces. It would be great for US to join a long list of countries who openly allow this. I liked how you wrote Rory, because she was still skittish and tentative when dealing with her issues and Sheppard but also vehement and strong when defending something she believes in. Well done and cannot wait for another update.

More Rory and John please. I need to know why she said what she did. I have an inkling, but I can't be sure I am right so ... yeah. Great update. As always you write so well I can hear their voices and see them in my head actually acting out the scenes. - Damia
