Thinking about Joyce coming back and trying to off Hank. That did not seem like Joyce or the 1st.

As I said previously there is lots of canon about Sineya being WAY older then 1300 BC. So that is some kind of trick or the like. Travers would not be trying to help- not that DB.

And I have to laugh at the idea of a Slayer becoming what Travers (or what was appearing as travers) claimed they would.

By the way remember the Mehdi protecting a slayer for 12 years? If what Travers claimed was true, they would have spotted signs of it after her living that long.

So lots of holes in that.

Now as regards the first and the idea of buffy dying to rebalance things- if this had happened right after Buffy had been resurrected that might be a possibility; but after all this time and the Mothra sized butterflies that have appeared there is no way her dying now no matter in what way would rebalance things.

So I have come to the conclusion you have added some new players to the game.

You need to think on that- the more complicated you make things the less logical and believable they become and then you start having people shake their heads. So adding more new players at this stage might not be the best idea.

Rereading this again. I really like your take on Rainbow and Ryan.

RE reading it again and that is STILL BS. As was said Sineya was clearly someone that came a long time before 1300 BC. Whistler would be the messenger. So there are so many holes in that story it makes a collander look like an armored vault.

Between Joyce and Travers it really sounds like something else is going on. And I did not think that the First could transport someone. Still incorporeal and having to use stooges.

A fair amount of what this thing said is BS. Trying to claim the Slayer is only about 3000 years old. Buffy's dreams of the First Slayer piss on that.

And if Vampires and Demons had been around with nothing to fight them up to 1300 BC which is long after there are written languages ---

As for the date of the creation of the Slayer, we already know that our knowledge of history is completely wrong ... why should iron shackles and cotton robes be an indication of recent times? Maybe they went out of fashion 5000+ years ago, and only recently came back in ...

On the other hand, I had a tribble going in my head that maybe the Watchers only came into existance in the 1600s, taking control of the Slayer, killing off her supporters and turning her from a leader into a tool ...

I also have to admire your fortitude! Almost 10 years on a single story thread (You still haven't 'engaged the borg... uh... er... Initiative' from the first story ;) ) and you are still going strong!

Loved the scene with Lincoln... and I think the First messed up in not making /sure/ Hank Summners was dead... And btw... was his wife somehow tied into all of this and supposed to have been keeping him uninvolved for a specific reason???

Was always a little disappointed that there wasn't a Buffy/Charmed crossover ep since they were on the WB at the same time... Thought that perhaps Phoebe and the post Doyle Cordy would have gotten on together infamously!

You are likely right, I don't think the universes meshed very well though. Plus Piper and Buffy in the same area would have led to a lot of fireworks.

Glad I could help out. I think the 2K chapters help me get stuff out more, though I slacked off in June/July. The weather was so hot and I had reactivated my City of Heroes account, so it was partly heat, and partly me playing hooky.
