Review of chapter "Prologue" from Lilkitsu
Review:
Looks interesting. Although learning what the casting has been chosen for who is exalted, and what caste has kinda made me go "meh". I never followed the Angel series, so I have little idea who Lindsey is... I also suppose this is set before season seven of Buffy if Tara is alive, but then Cordelia is ascended? No idea how the time line goes for that...
I am curious how you make a vampire chosen... Would they be like the "anti-exalted" (I forget the term... been a LONG time since I looked at the books), only on the good side?
I'm not worried about the power issue, white wolf always wanted players to put the story before the game mechanics, anyway. But if you insisted on not having Buffy or willow be chosen, why not faith? Would say more, but looks like my phones running outta room for the review...
Comments from author:
After season 7, all will be explained.

Edit: I will answer the slayer/Solar question after chapter 6 is up, I don't want to spoil it and forget like I did with an earlier review.

Review of chapter "Prologue" from Sahugani
Review:
Looks good. I tried to start an Exalted crossover myself... posted the first chapter even but well could never decide where to take it. You seem to have a slightly better grasp of the world than i do. So keep it coming please!

Review of story "Return of the Light" from LordSia
Review:
Nice. Like the Exalted game(s), even if at times it feels a bit cheesy. Second Ed, Core Book; "Ten motes of mana is about the equivalent of a Hiroshima bomb in energy". That's... Yeah.
Still, Xander being The Zenith? Willow of the Twilight? Nummy...
Comments from author:
damn forgotten spoilers.

Review:
This looks to be an interesting start. I've always wanted to read a decent BtVS/Exalted story. I hope you continue this at some point.

Review of story "Return of the Light" from Satori
Review:
No, matthew is correct. Anything white-wolf is horrendously overpowered by Buffyverse standards. A mere WOD vampire out-powers a slayer by a disgustingly large margin, and even a newly exhalted Lawgiver could go toe to to with Glory.

Besides, Chosen of the unconquered Sun Radiate real, pure, sunlight as an incidental effect. Vampires go poof. Where's the fun in killing half the badguys as a free action?

You're going to have to have a much higher level of villain. A perfect circle of 5 Solars could take out the fully mature Mayor-True-Demon without even breathing hard, and destroy the Turok-Han army without even needing o use charms- 11 motes of peripheral essence, and instant portable suns.

Also, why the heck would the infernal princes or a Dragon have anything to do with the jade prison? It was created and maintained by Sidereals.
Comments from author:
Infernal princes would be Wolfram and Heart, and the dragon was the guardian of the jade prison after it was moved to its new dimensional location as opposed to the location off the coast of the Blessed Isle.

To answer your question about powers and enemies they would face, it would be more of an internal struggle in dealing with this new found power the now posses. Also there is also the simple solution that they don't have to face supernatural threats, humanity is more than corrupt and evil enough to have fun with for quite awhile (think of the warlords in Africa). Throw in Sidereals manipulating the "good Guys" into thinking the Solars are evil, then you have them facing the whole world of mortals, while the supposed good guys are hindering them however they can. How do you think Xander would react if Buffy or Willow went all out to try and kill him just because they were manipulated into thinking that he was an evil evil being?

Sidereals can manipulate the good guys in this manner mostly because the good guys have been working for them since the fall of the age of dreams.

Throw in the fact that the world is in fact round and not flat as it is in the Exalted game, well you can see that there are some obvious changes to the Exalted background.

Sidereals are the Powers That be, and have been around for a very long time, while the five newly exalted Solars have not been. This just adds to the ridiculously long odds against them.

It can be done, and newly exalted Solars are not that powerful, and quite killable at that stage in their lives. It's not till later that they become truly earth shattering in power. Just like in an Exalted game, you don't just go out and try to take on the Blessed Isle, you wait till you have amassed a sizable force, and a great deal of personal power (usually between 100-150 years would be more than enough) then you take on the Blessed isle. The most The circle would be doing would be establishing sun cults, a base of power, and a long term goal at this stage.

Seriously the only reason they would ever go up against vampires or Turok-Han would be for sheer comic value after the initial oh shit stage, after a while most evil supernatural creatures would stop confronting them directly and just manipulate humans to do it for them.

That being said who is to say that the Circle won't face a second circle demon, who are all vastly more powerful than Illyria or the Mayor in his ascended form. After all there are allot of old ones, there are very few, by comparison, second circle demons.

Review of story "Return of the Light" from matthew
Review:
hmm..

Interesting. Just remember, the exalted tend to throw things *way* out of balance (seriously powerful). There isn't really much in the canon Buffyverse that can stand up to one for more than a couple of seconds (Glory and Illyria, basically). I recall the line in sourcebook when talking about metaplot - "this is what's likely to happen if the party is not in the general vicinity"
Comments from author:
I definitely didn't forget that, but newer exalts should make a good story. It's when they hit 50 years or so that they get a bit ridiculous.

The only thing I am waiting on to finish this is the night caste, I have everyone else but the night caste.

Though I don't know the Exalted series and the prologue isn't all that long, I like what I've seen so far. Now one can only hope that this is continued...

It will be when I get it sorted out a bit.
