Review of chapter "First Impressions" from DuskyDushku

No, i don't think your characterization is weak, and i do like the fic. i didn't get the vibe that Kennedy was like this from the tv series though. I can however, definitely see this being how Kennedy is after a few years of the New Council (or w/e) existing and having to face responsibility. Plus, this way she has actual power so she can't be greedy or overzealous about being the Chosen one like I feel she was portrayed in the series.

The first Kennedy centric fic I've ever read. The only instance where I didn't actually feel like inserting myself into the story and hitting her across the back of the head with a frying pan. I'm impressed.
I'm of the small, small group who liked and enjoyed the character of Kennedy so I was all for this nice little glimpse of what could be. I think you did a fine job with her and Dawn, their relationship was cute and rang true to me. Anita's surprise was amusing and Jean-Claude's reaction to her speechless was perfect. *snickers* Spatula.

I always liked Kennedy too, and I think she and Robin Wood are two of the most often maligned characters in the fandom. I thought you did a great job of nailing her voice, provided that she had already broken up with Willow. I especially liked her relationship with Dawn. Very cute and funny.

This is great! I really like your take on Kennedy. I do think she's irrevrent and determined and somewhat bitchy, but frankly the word is descriptive of most strong, determined, irrevrent women. Plus Anita is way more bratty than Kennedy ever was so it's great to see them meet, especially when shown with empathy. Thanks for posting. Keep writing.
