I read this story several times and I must confess, I still love it. I don't care about the mistakes you make other reviewers write about as long as it don't takes your attention away from the story. If I read a story several times without skipping parts, means to me that you wrote a good story.
My only wish would be that you wrote a sequel where Asher/Damian and Buffy fell in love with each other and became an item and how they all gone live together the pack included. Also would I like to read who will runs the shelter for all the loners of the city. my guess would be Buffy because she would be the only one who could keep them save and because she don't have favorites it's easier for the loners to trust her to keep them save. She already proved herself.
A well it's just a wish. Good story and good writing.

Anita Blake seems to be one of the most popular crossover universes on this site. I'm not usually a huge fan, but you made this story work well.
It wasn't perfect though. You have spelling mistakes littered all over the place, and you often omit or repeat words or phrases. My least favorite chapter was the one where Buffy's tattoo was translated in its entirety. I read the first few lines and got the gist of it. There was no need to make it so long and specific. Also, a note about formatting: long bits of centered text, especially when line length varies greatly, are very difficult to read and should usually be avoided.
Overall though, a very good story. Thanks for writing!
P.S. I didn't realize who the author of this fic was until just now. Funny how we keep meeting like this :-).

I've never read any Anita Blake crossovers before, but today, i read every freaking one you wrote. Just incredible. Beautiful. Amazing. All of them. And this story in particular captures everything that I love about Buffy, especially the fact that so much of it was told from other characters who saw her in different ways. It was beautiful, heartbreaking, and the fact that it ended on a hopeful note made it incredibly moving.

I loved this story. I only wished that there was more of a wrap up at the end. Did she enter a relationship with both of them, or did she only enter one with Asher?
Comments from author:
Both. I left some things a bit open because I planned to write a sequel briefly, but it didn't go anywhere.
I'm glad you like the story and thanks for reading!

A bit of a downer but great nonetheless. I enjoy the way you explore the complexities of the centuries long relationship between Asher and Jean Claude. Anita has quieted there anger but her love is not a panacea. And the limbo Jean Claude finds himself in was very skillfully evoked.

I will gladly give you all the reviews your heart could desire just keep writing stories. Perhaps we should reverse Buffy’s analogy from the last chapter. Anita is reacting to Buffy the same way Buffy did when Faith came to town and she thought Faith was going to take all of her friends away from her. Like Faith Buffy doesn’t want to take her friends away but unlike Faith Buffy really doesn’t seem to care whether Anita likes her or not.

Buffy’s talking about Faith when she says she had a sister like her right? Buffy’s a great catalyst to force Anita into some tough self examination. Hurting aside, how would Anita go about proving herself to Buffy?

I’d honestly forgotten Damian didn’t have his basement coffin in Anita’s house by this point in the story. I understand that in some respects Anita could be considered more of an enforcer than a leader but and I know Nathaniel worries about his place with Anita but it does seem a little OOC for him to be thinking she isn’t one.
