Oh, poor Graham! He never gets the easy job, does he? And yeah, after spending time with the Scoobies he'd definitely listen to the teenage female! Thanks for sharing this!

While it's not unheard of for there to be a multi-month gap in a long, on-going story, I don't think such a "pause" - after only one chapter has appeared - gives much hope for the second ever showing up. Besides being a waste of a terrific opening chapter this means that I now have to go searching all over the internet for other fic by you to see if this story was a fluke, which I doubt, or an indication that I've found someone I'd like to read more of. Life is too short for such disappointments.

Oy vay. Poor Graham. Considering worse is rapidly heading to worse, is there any chance of snatching some kink of help from Buffy and company? or are Graham and Cassie solo all the way? Any chance of getting more chapters anytime soon? I hope your schedule and muse will allow you to write and post more chapters sometime soon. Keep up the good work. Interesting premise and not a combo I've seen before. I like that Cassie doesn't trust Graham at first. Worth continuing.
Comments from author:
I've always liked Graham: he seems like a combination of soldier solidity, loyalty and mild-to-moderate deviousness. For example, I totally believe he manipulated Riley into breaking up with Buffy. I mean, he played on issues that were already there and it may not have been entirely the wrong thing to do, but he definitely played on Riley's insecurities just before the dramatic break-up. And in spite of that, he still manages to be a pretty good guy, trying to do the right thing.
Cassie I understand a little less well. I know she's smart and driven, but I don't always get her motivations. She's fun, though!

You know Rome is Buffy's turf, so there is a change there is a slayer in the museum. They might even have trailed the Jaffas.
But I don't think you'll go that way. Because it is Graham and Cassie's trip, which means the help of a slayer or two would only shorten the trip. But they might help them to escape in the divergent.
Comments from author:
You're the second person who pointed out that Graham and Cassie might actually run into the Scoobies in Rome, which is funny because I'd almost totally forgotten. I was just thinking of Rome as somewhere with very deep history, churches and lots of catacombs.
You're right, though--Graham and Cassie are on their own. At least for now. ;)
