Review of chapter "Chapter Twenty" from terpsichory
Review:
Wow. What a fantastic find! I had a sudden craving for crossover fanfic, recently, and wondered if any decent Willow/Snape existed out there. I expected the odd good one-shot, and unfortunately predicted most of the uninspired attempts I encountered, but I was genuinely surprised to stumble upon this gem of a story (so much, it made me register on a Buffy site in 2014 just to leave you this).

I apologise for not reviewing chapter-by-chapter, but please take it as a compliment that I couldn't stop reading until the end. I'll try to make up for it.

I love your voices and your nuanced characterisations. Willow is especially outstanding, and the vivid picture you're painting with her power, enthusiasm, bumbling, competence, cleverness, her past and her insecurities is as lovable as it is confusing to Severus. I particularly like the way she handles her lessons and her fish-in-a-different-pond situation. But your Snape is great, as well. All caution, curiosity, pride, fear, bitterness, self-loathing and yet hope. I am a fan of a nicely slow pacing and I thought his change regarding Willow was done in a believable way and his inner turmoil (especially in the last chapter) well done. I was a little surprised, though, that so far any muggle reference has completely flown over his head. I'm sure he must remember some things from growing up in the muggle world.
The side characters, small as their parts have been, so far, are also done great and I can't wait for Buffy's (or anyone else's) guest lecture.

I think my favourite thing about your story is that it is basically brimming with magic. Usually, one of my main complaints is that fics are not magical enough, but you have such brilliant imagination and an enviable ability to weave it seamlessly into the texture of your story that it feels like the most natural thing in the world (which it is! in their world) and all the while balancing two very different kinds of magic and their repercussions. Incredibly well done!

I am afraid, though. You have planted a lot of seeds and the scope needed for them to come to fruition seems immense. I sincerely hope you'll find the time and energy to continue your tale. It is so expertly done, it would be sad to see its tremendous potential go unfulfilled. I follow other fics that only update once a year and I can (grudgingly) live with it, re-read periodically and offer feedback. I'm definitely in for the long haul, now. Thank you so much for what you've written, so far!

Review:
The storyline and characterization are both true to cannon and exciting. I do hope it hasn't been abandoned.

I also hope that this story hasn't been abandoned. Your depictions of the characters are outstanding and I desperately want to know where your plot is going. I must admit to downloading a copy of the whole fic and keeping it on my phone. I reread it periodically on my breaks or before bed. I would wait forever for the completion of this story, but I sincerely hope that I won't have to.

Review:
I hope this story is only forgotten but not abandoned - you're late for your yearly update. :-)
I'm a little surprised that you enrolled only one Hufflepuff, their attitude about the power of the collective should be well-suited for covens and other collective wandless magic. And ' new' or minor characters would be a nice change from the other fics an keep focus on Willow and Snape. But I can understand the desire to stick to canon characters and keep the OC's low.

Review:
While I am not normally a fan of Snape stories, this one is different. Perhaps it's the internal pov, but the change/growth/interpretation of the character seems natural, rather than shippish or forced.

Also, this story nicely avoids 'superwillow' without ignoring her cannon powers and limitations.

I hope this story is still being developed, but it is worth the read as is.

Review:
Brilliant story. Believable Snape. Willow is a confusing mix of cleverness, arrogance and self-doubt, which I think captures her quite nicely. I like how you've mixed the two worlds, which agree in tone, motifs and other lit-crit ways, but mix like oil and water on technical stuff.

Review:
Absolutely amazing story, this is by FAR the best interpretation of Snape that I have EVER read. I specifically love that you have him compare Willow and Lily, it makes so much sense.
I hope that you continue to write this story, it has awesome potential!
Keep up the good work :)

I love this. You didn't just change characters but had them grow as people. I hate stories wherr people act out of character but youve had them slowly do things because of motivation. I cant wait to see how it ends.

Review:
Fantastic story. I loved the level of openness you maintain about your characters, and the rate at which you revel new information. Specific points, like those gifted in wandless magic (specifically Filch), Harry's blood protection, and Willow's crazy fizzling magic are also awesome. I hope you come back soon!

Review of chapter "Chapter Twenty" from Rune
Review:
In the books Snape is evil.
What is his excuse for being a waste of space before Tom returned?
There is no excuse or reason.

However....

Its always fun to try to redeem a character, fanfiction does better at this than JKR did when she killed Albus dumber than a door and then "redeemed" Snape later.

Things to think about, can Willow remove the dark mark, can she see to it that all who have taken it except Snape suffer and die, the rot called "purebloods" in the wizzy world is deep and pervasive, can she help cut it out, the ministry is corrupt beyond belief can anything be done besides just killing them all, with the slayer scythe Willow could affect all potentials all over the world what could she do to wands with the Elder Wand, make it impossible to cast Obliviate or Unforgivables?

Don't respond, just please write more, Thanks.

Review of chapter "Chapter Twenty" from leelaa
Review:
Sorry about reviewing so late. A fantastic chapter.
Snape realising the intensity of his protectiveness and feelings for Willow, Albus' humour, the mention of Argus Filch, Willow repeatedly checking on Snape and his unaccustomed patience with her intrusions, Snape's maneuvering of Draco and his perception of Draco's reactions, and in fact every word from Severus Snape's POV was a delight to read.
But still, the very best of the entirely perfect chapter?
^
(Willow, to Severus:) "...do you actually plan assignments for your classes, or do you just wait until someone pisses you off and then wing it?”
And that was most certainly teasing. “Both,” he finally said, biting back a sharper retort. Perish the thought that flagrant incompetence should result in punitive class assignments.
~
LOL. Looking forward to the next chapter. Thanks for a great read. :)

Review of chapter "Chapter Twenty" from LegacyWeapon
Review:
Another two amazing chapters! I know I've said it before, but I'm really enjoying this story. All of the characters just seem so real; you really have their speech patterns down perfectly. If I had to complain about one thing, it's that we seem to get a LOT of Snape's mental insights about Willow, but her own internal thoughts seem to be focused elsewhere, usually. It seems obvious that there's a pairing waiting to happen here, or at the very least an obsession of Snape's. Still, it would be interesting to know more about what Willow thinks of their unique dynamic.

Thank you so much for writing. I look forward to reading what comes next!
