Great to see another update! Story is coming along very nicely. Was glad to read River's assessment of how B and Slayer will finally cope.

I thought you had B & River become matchmakers a little too suddenly...without enough story preparation. Some build-up of B & River watching Simon/Kaylee and Mal/Inara "dancing around each other" in your story would have been good before B & River did that...even if the two "relationships" are considered from canon.

Hope also we'll get to see B directly help River in a significant way sometime in near future.

I think it would have been fun for the Slayer to also come out to play for a bit and "remind" Jayne to never, ever, even think of betraying any of them again...a gentle "nudge" in addition to Mal's warning.

Definitely looking forward to reading about the Operative...also would be fun to see the mind games of BOTH Buffy and River if Jubal Early (the bounty hunter) comes after River as in Canon.
