If something was said about Elrond leaving for the gray havens, which she cannot do and really... neither should bilbo or frodo, fine. But Elrond mentions an orc raid, which makes you think Buffy is going to die.
Then a wrench is thrown into it and he tells her to be safe, and she tells him to be happy. Clearly, neither of them expects to see the other again but no reason is given.
So. I say again... Huh?

Y'know, I was all fired up and ready to flame over the fact that Elrond is married to Buffy in this although he is married to CelebrÃan in canon, but I think you planned this seamlessly. So all I have to say is: good job.

Short but sweet. They way you tell it makes me think that you're portraying Buffy as possibly Arwen's mother. I haven't actually read the books so I'm assuming from what I know from movies and fanfics that I've read.
