Honest, hard, truthful, painful. A lot of life is like that and this relationship, especially in the military (being SO macho), is more difficult to maintain, since it is outside the main stream. Buffy's last statement is what makes this so sad and so truthful. Excellent job, Author.

While I'm a Buffy/Vala girl *winks* this was a nice vintage and far cry from the usual. Well paced and nicely played out. Two thumbs up!

Thank you for your kind review. It was meant to be a one shot, but I've gotten requests to turn it into more. I'm still debating on that one. My muse is stubborn like that. Oh well.... **shrugs shoulders and sighs** On a different note, I've actually read your Buffy/Vala fic. I think it's great. Any chance for more with that particular pair? **hands out bribery...errr... encouragement cookies** ;D
ouch....can we sad much...bordering on depressive?!!...but it was still a really good read....my heart really went out to Buffy in this....but you're right being gay in the military freakin sucks!!!!!
but you know...its good to finally read some good femslash on thie site that doesn't always feature the obvious character of Willow with whomever!!!
thanks for writing such good stories!!!

Well hello! If it isn't one of my favorite reviewers! I know what you mean about the femslash. Definitely not enough around here. I would say that most of my stories will probably end up in that direction. Also, it's likely that they will center around Buffy because she has always been my favorite, despite her many faults. She's the hero and they are supposed to get the girl, right? *winks* Thank you for reading and reviewing. I really appreciate it.
P.S. If you haven't already seen it, think about reading my other story, Realizations. It has more femslash and is a Buffy/Faith shipper, if you're interested anyway. It's mostly wishful thinking on my part.
