I'm glad to hear you enjoy the story, but unfortunately, yes, it might well stay unfinished.
There's so MUCH of it yet to tell that it would take huge chunks of time to get to it all.
That being said....

It is, at the very least, probable that I'll finish up at least book three (this one), since it's only a chapter or two from being finished. I might or might not get to it very soon; it depends on a lot of things.

As for the larger story, there's a funny thing there.

I'm experimenting with writing professionally, and self-publishing original stories to Amazon.com. While I obviously can't post Faith/Buffy fanfic there, it's entirely possible that I could write a series of stories featuring expys (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/Expy) of Faith and Buffy, following the overall storyline I've mapped out for this. That way I could write the story of their love affair, and also pay the bills at the same time.
(And it would basically be just another installment of my 'Parallels' story series, where Faith and Buffy always end up falling in love, no matter what universe they find themselves being reincarnated into).

I'm not SURE I'll go that route, but it's very much something I'm considering.
If it does happen, I'll definitely post something to that effect on my profile here. In the meantime, like I said, I do intend to at least close up this one properly, and leave it at a logical stopping point.

I've had the last chapter of book three outlined for forever; it's just waiting for me to get off my ass and write it out.
I'm trying to get some of Harmony's story done and posted for Halloween, but I will make a sincere effort to get this out to you soon.

I'll admit to a degree of confusion as to exactly what you're saying here.
This seems as if it's not so much a review of the story (which you didn't read?) as it is an announcement of the fact that you noticed I've not yet finished it... plus a random 'Duh'?

It's unclear what you intended to accomplish by this comment. If you'd planned to read the story, but were put off by the fact that it is unfinished, then you might have said something like "I'd be interested in reading this if it were complete, but as it stands I'd rather not start reading something that isn't finished."
That kind of thing might prompt an author to work on a story. A random comment that fails to show such interest... and includes something that might sort of/kind of have been meant as an insult... that isn't likely to do much of anything at all.
Except, obviously, prompting me to idly type out this comment while waiting for my breakfast to finish cooking.

I hope this isn't the end, and there's more to come. I really like the story so far.

The biggest question for me, since I know this is a Super-Happy-Ending story, isn't whether or not Faith & Buffy end up together, it's whether or not my first guess is correct.

Is the real Buffy listening to Faith tell this story too? I think she is. I hope she is.

Oh, and I'm curious how the thing with the Mayor will play out, but that's not a big deal since I already know Faith's story will end happy. Sorry, Super-Happy.

Finally an update! This chapter was more of a filler than anything, but you get an 8 on the intrigue alone. That business with Faith (flashback?) got me thinking. Did she promise to be somebody's girl to protect someone else once? A sister or a close friend? You never know how you're going to change people's pasts after all. And of course the whole scene with the clown was funny. Well, before it got violent anyway. I especially loved the part where he proposed to the both of them and Faith said the line about the shoes and gave him a yes. Hilarious. As for the tats? I'm with Faith. She's gone and got herself into something now. Buffy will end up getting her tatted with pretty flowers and butterflies or some other crap. Or maybe even have her get her face painted! Who knows? But it'll definitely be girly...

Wow, this is even better! (Just no more Faith/Kira in the frame ...) But Faith is really good with the romantic stuff, the roses were cute, an I like the way you develope certain motifs: Wolverine's claws (Faith of course loves them, Buffy doesn't), the axes Faith bought (making Buffy uncomfortable), the different interpretation of the painting with the knife (heavy with implications) and the 'practical test' when Buffy stopps Faith snaching the jewlery ... really well done!

I just wonder ... no matter how great they are together: Could Buffy really be like that with someone who treatened to kill Giles and who she knows doesn't give a shit whether the scoobs live or die? (Well, maybe that's why it's a story within the fiction ...)

I really hope you post more soon... again, as usual, felt very bad for Faith when she went all out on the jerky clown guy. It seems to me she was "fighting" someone from her past, perhaps a rapist? I wish Buffy knew a better way of comforting her than she's tried so far.

I think we'd all love to watch Faith corrupt Buffy;) I know I certainly would. Still very interesting, I like how Faith is solicitious of her

I loved the scene with Faith and Buffy putting the weapon selling guy in his place lol. I've never actually thought before how it must be for girls dating to go to the bathroom together... even though I myself put that into a Buffy story once, it never occurred to me since for some reason. I still feel bad for Faith with her 'no don't need help' and Buffy basically making her think she can go ahead with things adn then stopping her once Faith gets worked up. I hope something will work out soon with them where they're both comfortable.

I don't know about Faith staying and holding you Buffy lol. But I didn't like the way Angel acted- it was typical of third season him though. I liked him much better in Angel. Poor Buffy with all those burns, I liked the way you played it between her and Joyce.

Aw poor both of them...Faith for being so frustrated with B, and Buffy for her hurt back and knowing she's hurting Faith. I can definitely understand why they'd both by hesitant/insecure. Wonderfully written...though yeah, not exactly suited for Kira lol
