Amazing story! I've read it previously somewhere else (I think), but I was blown away all over again. The way you weave everything together, your plot pacing and movement, the twists, the highs and lows...there was a lot going on without ever feeling over-done or too busy. It was truly a pleasure to read it again.

This was a very cool story. I like the H.G. Wells at the end a lot. There was a book by Edmond Hamilton (who later wrote for DC comics) about a guy who was experimented on by his father, while the guy was still in the womb. I can't think of the name and I can't find it online but I have a copy in storage somewhere. It was published a year before the first Superman comic book. The guy's skin could deflect bullets, he could jump over a house, run 60 mph. Not quite the superman we all know and love but a good inspiration I think.
Anyway, I enjoyed this story very much. Thanks Chris

I just read this story for the third time (or possibly the fourth time) -- I re-read this fic whenever the world feels particularly hopeless and politics is making me even more cynical than usual, because it's so full of HOPE and REDEMPTION for cynical, world-weary souls like me and your Lois Lane!
Thanks for putting a hopeful smile on my face, yet again!

Fantastic story. The fragmentation was perfect for the flow and theme of the plot, and I absolutely loved the analysis about the economics, weather, and credibility involved in saving the world. You are completely amazing.

That is how I felt reading this story. To quote Nightcourt, "I laughed, I cried, it became a part of me."
And I did. I laughed, I cried (in a manly way, of course). I couldn't put this story down. It was so "real" as in I could actually see it happening here our "reality".
Kudo's!! Author! and Bravo!!!

Review of chapter "The sound of thunder" from Letomo
Review:
I still remember the Lois and Clark episode that intro'd a version of Clark like your protaganist, and the one you created flows so well from that, wow. I've re-read this story now, and still enjoy it.
This was a FANTASTIC story. Sort of 'Smallville' meets Christopher Reeve era Superman (at the end anyway). This was a true origin story that's better than the 52 hoohah.
I thoroughly enjoyed every chapter.
(Lana is a prat... just saying)

Accidentally stumbled onto this (the wife was reading it) and decided to take the plunge. (Hey, if Marcus Rowland comments on something, there's something there to heed.)
While not flawless, this is still an excellent work, and managed to keep my interest although I'm not a fan of the "Lois and Clark" or film versions of these characters. I am sorry that the climate denialists and the Bush defenders got offended by certain passages; you seem to me to be clear-eyed and honest about portraying what the post-9/11 America looks like to patriots and people not on the top of the pyramid.
Three years later, your work still stands up fine; thought I should tell you so. (But I have to say: for a fic of that age, there are still an embarassing number of homonyms that you haven't caught.)
