Buffy's basically a good person, but I wouldn't do her with a stolen dick. No matter how 'romantic' it was in her mind, necrophilia is necrophilia. And she fucked not only one, but two vampires, both of which were assholes, rapists, and pedophiles. Who were drunkards who fooled around with women back when they were alive. Just imagining the diseases they carried and passed on to Buffy shrivels me to near nonexistence. *shudder*.
Wow, can't believe I didn't leave a note the first time I read this. Excellent story... "go for the pain", indeed!
And it's becoming apparent to me that I glean more from a story the more times I read it... your homage to one of Larry Niven's better stories is most excellently done, with a (Newtonian) twist that he would enjoy.
Thanks again for another excellent tale!

You keep referring to 'Bratislava, Czechoslovakia'. This is not correct usage. Since the Velvet Divorce in 1993 Czechoslovakia has ceased to exist and Slovakia is the capital of Slovakia. Conversely, in 1898 Czechoslovakia had not yet come into existence and Bratislava was in Austria-Hungary.
Correction: where I said 'Slovakia is the capital of Slovakia' that's a typing error and I of course meant to say 'Bratislava is the capital of Slovakia'.
My daughter supports the Czech Republic football team and tends to go apoplectic when she hears TV commentators referring to 'Czechoslovakia'.

While you are correct when referring to our segment of the infinite spatial-temporal continuum, I would venture to say that in that particular aspect of space-time that constitutes the Scooby-verse, political events took a somewhat different turn and the city of Bratislava did and still does exist in the nation of Czechoslovakia.
After all, I couldn't possibly have flubbed something as simple as that when writing this story, could I? ;-)
Don't know how I missed checking the history of the city when I was writing this. Guess I have to plead 'Brain fart!' ;-)
That was awesome. I wasn't certain I was going to like the story, since frankly I have never really liked Angel. But for him to be completely transformed to Xander then for him to exact his vengeance was great.
