You've got me hooked and hanging on the cliff. The Jarod interplay is thus far perfect. However, who the heck is Ranma? I'm assuming it is another crossover -- but I don't recognize it. I did enjoy the Xander/Ranma scene and was hoping for more Spike to ruffle the feathers and figure out who he was. Please write more and clue the clueless in a little!

Err... this was a bit weird. Exactly when did Ranma from Ranma 1/2 get added to the regular cast list for BtVS... Since he never did it was an obvious extra crossover... and yet you never added the extra disclaimer or mentioned an extra crossover besides the BtVS/Pretender one which is a bit... odd.

That out of the way, it was a pretty good story and I'll be looking forward to more. However, unlike previous reviewers, I must add that the child's identity did not come as a surprise at all... to me too much emphasis had been put on how the child didn't have the gene so was given away as useless... which led me to believe the child received something else instead that would make that decision ironic. Since Xander while courageous and willingness to 'fight the good fight' cannot be questioned, he never has shown any sign of that extra 'oomph' to make such an ironic insult to the center for making that decision.

Thus it would have to have been either Buffy or Willow if it was going to be one of the cast regulars or else someone like 'Marcy' the invisible girl if we were talking a former guest star. Since Willow seemed to have been removed from the focus of the story and most stories don't use old forgotten chars as stars it left only Buffy as a suspect to my mind.

Even though your plot twist was highly forseeable, it doesn't detract from the pull of the story itself. In fact you have the makings for a really good story here, and I will be looking forward to seeing what you make of it in the (hopefully) coming chapters.

Talk about your freaking cliffhangers... I thought Jerod's kid was going to be Xander, you fooled me. Lol! Good story so far and I like your characterizations. I always liked the Pretender and am glad to see the Pretender characters visiting SunnyHell. Does this mean some of the Bad Guys will get eaten by vamps? Oh, I hope so. And does this mean that Buffy has some pretender skills as well as Slayer ones? Write more please.

This is such a cool crossover. I mean I have a plot bunny for Ranma/AtS and another for BtVS/Pretender floating in my head but to merge all three. I mean hiding on the Hellmouth is the best place to stay hidden from Cologne, Happosai, and all the other assorted magical weirdos following Ranma around. I just had a thought... Is Nabiki going to go looking for him or what?
