I am not so sure Buffy would be so sanguine with Dexter's activities. She's had to deal with morally ambiguous characters--especially Spike and Anya--but in both cases those two were "defanged". When Anya was revealed to be a practising vengeance demon, Buffy went after her with few compunctions.
Dexter poses an unusual moral quandary. He is clearly a monster. In fact, even more inhuman than Spike was in many ways. Yet he his chosen path is eerily parallel to Buffy's--to destroy that which the mundane world cannot confront and chosen for the purpose by circumstances out of their control. There are even parallels in that Harry Morgan could be seen as a Watcher akin to Giles or Merrick.
At best she might make the tough decision that mortal crimes are none of the Slayer's affair. I don't think they would be laughing, tender bosom buddies. But fellow hunters and compatriots, perhaps.

I love Dexter and am waiting impatiently for the next season to come out... until I'm tiding myself over with fanfic. The mix of Dexter and Buffy in this story was perfect (but a little short). I would love to see a more in depth story of how they met, maybe even a story with them working together or something. Keep it coming, thanks for the intriguing story!

I'm actually planning on writing a story about Buffy as a therapist/councilor for the police department. This way she would get to talk with all the characters, but also work as a profiler and talk to criminals and suspects. It would span through season two. What do you think of that, i would love your help brainstorming ideas.
