I'm a bit doubtful about it but the series looks like it could be good based on this first story

Review:
Nice story.

For slang and other translations, try this site: http://www.effingpot.com/slang.shtml

It's brilliant! On the whole, I think you've captured Donna and Rose pretty well, bearing in mind that the Doctor is inevitably from some corner of Britain (the Ninth was from the North, and the Tenth is sort of southern/London-ish - hard for the less distinct accents, and my own is screwed up anyway - Dad's from the south, Mum's from the Isle of Man, and I've lived between Wales, the north-east and the north-west!).

Don't worry about the milder Americanisms, because Rose, if not Donna, may well use them given the popularity of American TV programmes over here (Buffy, CSI, Charmed, Angel, Bones, Heroes... All sorts. Seems like Doctor Who's our most populat export).

Still, hope the link helps. You can also get onto other aspects, such as differences in food - like what you call cookies, we call biscuits, sometimes shortened to 'biccies' (I'm not entirely sure how to spell the shortened version, it's not something you write down, just say...).

And don't get me started on 'pissed'. Suffice to say, if we're angry, we're pissed off, never pissed. If we're drunk, we're pissed.

Keep up the good work, I want to read more!

Lol, Tanydwr
Comments from author:
Heh, it's things like biscuits that give me pause - if I'm actively seeking a British slang phrase or something I can find it, but trying to remember that Rose wouldn't call'em cookies, that's another story entirely (not to mention the apparent absence of a word for American style biscuits, which are a staple of the US diet!)

Thanks for the link though, I think that'll be really helpful. I've got a beta now so hopefully that will help as well, haha. I'm really glad you enjoyed the story so far, the next update is coming very very shortly :)

To quote Nine... "Fantastic". Really liked how you handled Dawn becoming Summer and would love to see a sequel with these three Companions.

Are you planning on writing a sequel? I loved your mix of characters and I would love to see how the Scoobies interact with the Who characters.

Ten thousand points for not making her a long lost anything, or using the watch as an excuse for a Mary-Sue-esque transformation.

Another cool twist. She wasn't adult, but a Gallifreyean child. Thanks for sharing.

Review of chapter "Shattered Water" from Scrappychic
Review:
"Alternate Earth," the Doctor said after a pause. "Check. Which one? 'Nother question entirely."

lol. Great!

I was so stoked to see what comes next and when I came to the review page to leave my review I noticed the previous reviewer mentioned looking for a sequel and I completely lost it for a few seconds... The END?? How can this be the end? The story is just getting started. A series of one shots like you mentioned in the response to that review would be good, but continuing this story where it left off would be even better!!

Anyway, Great story no matter which you decide to do.

Well /that/ part of the adventure is over! Now we're on to the next one. Hopefully you'll enjoy it :-D

Comments from author:
I really thought about it, honestly. It just would have been too...convenient for it to be anyone that the Doctor knew, even if I would have loved to give him one of his friends/family back :-/ our poor Doctor...

Good work! For whatever reason, I didn't see that twist coming. Great idea!... hm, maybe the monks used Dracula to get the blood sample from Buffy? That'd explain a lot about that weird episode with appearing/disappearing castles in Sunnydale and all that....
