Review:
And, like the "main" series, great story. You really make characters I dislike come alive, and be likeable. I do hope you'll update soon.

Dru? Dru's gonna be your Spike? I can't wait to see what you do with Dru. Since she may well be my favorite character of all, and certainly of the vampires, I'm completely fascinated.
Dru is hostile 17? That's utterly priceless! Why do I suddenly feel verrry sorry for the mad scientists in the initiative. Buffy, Kennedy AND Dru? Now, there's a thoroughly scary picture. Please. Update these stories soon. Hope RL isn't being too much of a bear!

W: Am I gonna get the girl?
K: Don't push your luck...
Poor Warren.
Poor Kennedy to be stuck with Warren. Sigh.
Very funny....

Poor Riley. I feel so sorry for the guy... you dumped Andrew, Warren and Anya on him in one fell swoop! That's just cruel.
I kinda wish you hadn't killed Spike off... He'd have made an interesting... something.
So... Tara and Kennedy, huh? I was wondering how long it would take for them to meet...

Review:
Well, this is a first.
You've taken my least favorite characters from the Buffyverse, put them all in one story and I'm reading it anyway. Now sure just how that happened. Of the bunch, probably the only one that I didn't actually actively hate was Andrew. He just annoyed me. Now, I'm reading just to see what happens next.
Warren, I still do not trust not to turn into something really scary and dangerous. To my mind he was a classic, textbook sociopath with absolutely no human empathy, so I am really curious if you've seen something else, how it will turn out. Veruca, also never seemed to have a moral bone in her body, though she was at least kind of fun...
Kennedy, I thought was a relatively decent person, she just wasn't my cup of tea. The person you're developing is much more fun, frankly than the original. Andrew, given this much positive reinforcement may actually have potential to be a good man, particularly if Notty succeeds in squelching his extreme childishness.
I do like Notty, btw. For some reason, whenever you mention 'Notty', I find myself picturing Stephen Fry, though you haven't said just what our fair watcher looks like. He seems like a good watcherly kinda guy!
So... on to chapter 3 and to seeing where these scary friendships go...

What an absolutely fantastic story. I now see how it is properly fitting up with the first story about Buffy. I am bummed that it's taken so long for you to update this and i truly hope you do so soon. I am really really looking forward to reading Kennedy's discussion with Notty about Buffy with all of the new information learned from Andrew. Also, I am a bit mystified that they can't find out that she is in the Air Force Academy by looking her up, but i suppose that that is so out in left field that they're just not looking in the right places. I love what you've done with the story and realize that you are progressing very well in conjunction with the first story. All you have left as far as i remember is dealing with the 'silence demons' and you're just about where Buffy will come to Sunny D.

An interesting story. I must admit Kennedy is not my favourite character but you make her much more likable. And the inclusion of Andrew, Veruca and Warren makes an interesting mix. I must admit though I find Mr. Nottingham more than a little unpleasant, but that was probably your intent. All in all highly enjoyable.
I am confused about the date of Kennedy's assumption of the mantle, in the first Stroy Buffy almost witnesses the death/murder of Faith yet Kennedy seems to receive the power later. Am I misreading or was there a slayer between them?
Thanks for writing.

I finally caved and read this...only b/c you wrote it, honestly. And I never thought I'd like a Kennedy-centered story so much! Love Andrew standing up for who Buffy truly is (once he was cornered). And I like the 'code of silence' Sunnydale has about Buffy--almost like they're trying to protect their former protector. Now that Warren's getting therapy, I'm liking him more as part of the Scrappy gang. Love that Anya's still around and is offering up more info than in canon. Notty's pretty great, though I want a meeting between him & Buffy even more now. Glad Riley's keeping his mouth shut, but I see the "Cali" story is ahead of this one right now (since Graham & Forrest already know about Kennedy in her story)...it confused me for a minute, but not for long! Interesting take on Veruca, & I like that Tara is around--will she hold off on revealing her 'demon status' as long as canon? Hope not. & I look forward to seeing what happens as Notty tries to get more info out of the Council & Wesley. Oh yeah, excellent use of Doyle, I like the idea of him bouncing between LA & Sunnydale, helping people in both cities. Great story. :)

Perhaps on of the biggest compliments I've ever left as a review... you managed to write a Kennedy/ Warren/ Veruca centered fic that I was not only willing to read, but actually enjoyed.
And if you listen closely, you can hear the sound of little piglets, as they soar gracefully through the air.

I like this story. You've actually made me respect Kennedy which is hard to do since I REALLY don't like her. I like how you have things going differently, some things Kennedy handles better than Buffy did, somethings Buffy handled better. Though I am sad to see Spike permanently gone, I do get why, but...you know its Spike... :)

Review:
At some point you really should do a cross-dimensional jump where Buffy meets the tv show timeline Buffy (ie all the scoobs still alive etc) but brings Kennedy & the scrappies along. The reception where they introduce Warren would be great. With Tara defending him from the scoobies' inexplicable hostility. In the meantime, poor Dru. Didn't see it coming? Ouch. Hey, is Oz still alive? I wonder. Kennedy is coming along great.... might be a match for Buffy in a few years. For the Buffy of end of S3; but by then she'll have moved up in skill, too. Ouch.
