I know that this one is marked as complete, but... I want more. Well, thanks for writing this, bye for now.
Comments from author:
Well, I write Buffy despite not being a fan of what they did in the later seasons. Maybe I can go back to Ultimate Spider-Man at some point...

As always, I enjoyed this. And as usual, I'm a bit confused bye this. I thought that this was still ongoing, and the ending of the last chapter seems to support that theory, but... this is marked as complete so.., is it? Well, thanks for writing this, anyways, bye for now.

Review of chapter "Chapter Three" from deathgeonous
Review:
You know, I really like this story and I really do hope it will continue, but I still don't see just how the plot of the two fics in this series go together. In the first, Dawn dimension hoped to the Ultimate Marvel Universe, but this one seems to be a blending of the two. Just wondering about that. Anyways, thanks for writing this, bye for now.
Comments from author:
You assumed she hopped to a universe that was nothing but the canon Ultimate Marvel Universe. As Ben Parker used to say...

Mmm, MJ and Illyria...yummy. And with Dawn as Mini-Hulk, I forsee lots of catfights where lots of clothing gets shredded.

Review of chapter "Chapter Three" from TheatricalBarrister
Review:
Just re-read this new version (and the new prequel), and liked it quite a bit. The image of everyone ducking out of Dawn's way as she charges down the school hallway had me cracking up. I always like your interactions between Dawn and Illyria, and the way you write Illyria in particular.

Review of chapter "Chapter Three" from laoshi
Review:
Just realized I forgot to pint out small typo in chap 2 so I've gone back and edited my review.

You do realize you can't just tease us like that and not follow through. You've got to show us Illyria on Shakespeare. I can see her railing against Hamlet for being a sissy for not killing his uncle in the first act. Illyria does Julius Caesar: she gets so mad Caesar keeps pardoning his enemies she ends up wrecking his class room. In the weirdness that is my head she does Conan the barbarian paraphrasing Genghis Khan "...crush your enemies drive them before you and hear the lamentations of the women." Damn you and your Smodcast Kevin Smith for getting that stuck in my head.

I feel a bit cheated because we didn't get to see Mr and Mrs. Watson being introduced to Illyria. I hope you'll go back and fill us in later.

Is metathesiophobia your word? Cause I get the meaning; fear and/or hatred of mutants/metahumans and I get the meta- and the -phobia parts but what's thesio?

I wondered why Mary Jane was agreeing Illyria's a sometime goth for a minute their before I remembered she has an all black costume.

Just to clarify: Dawn has superhuman strength and her other metahuman abilities regardless of what form she's in, right?

The meeting between Dawn and Illyria had everything anyone could ever want without actually including a followup chapter dealing with the fallout. Bring on Dawn's MJ dumped Spiderman for Illyria cracks. Oh, and are we going to see Bruce Banner making an appearance anytime soon? I wanna see Dawn annoying him.
Comments from author:
Metathesiophobia is technically the fear of changes... I was using it insofar as Liz being afraid of the changing world dynamic, because mutants come into prominence within a matter of years before Spider-Man and his freaks gallery, not to mention the Ultimates, show up.

And yes, Dawn has some power in her Dawn form but she does need to shift into her Emerald form for access to 99% of it. Otherwise, she'd just stay Dawn-shaped because... well, who wants to be huge and green?

Bruce lives in a cell in Triskelion and is only let out when they need him... at least until they try to execute him in Ultimates 2 and he escapes. Not sure where he lives after that. But this is set between Ultimates 1 and 2, where he's living in the box, so I'm not sure he'll be able to appear too easily... but I'll try.

Review of chapter "Chapter Two" from laoshi
Review:
Thanks for the lightning quick comments on my review. It certainly improves your chances of getting more.

And the Peter's memory weirdness starts. It's nice to see that Mary Jane's not the only one whose going to have some problems with it. Illyria's shock at her own wolf-whistle was priceless. Although as MJ finds out with the kiss at the end of the chapter there are upsides to your new girlfriend having your ex-boyfriend's memories.

Forget what I said about powers in the last chapter lets skip the plot and get straight to Illyria showing Mary Jane some of the naughty bondage fun they can have with webbing. Kidding (well mostly), I'm looking forward to Dawn and Illyria meeting to much for that.

Thanks for the info on the Ultimate Universe. Quick question about this version of Venom: I seem to remember Venom having a chocolate fixation. But when Illyria says she'll drink the hot chocolate it's because Fred and Peter both liked it. Shouldn't she have mentioned the symbiote too, or is it just too early in bonding process for all that?

Good choice on the chocolate brand. I'm from Coventry so I've gotta support Lady Godiva in any form. I spent a lot of my early childhood walking past statue in town centre which quotes Tennyson
"Then she rode forth, clothed on with chastity:
The deep air listen'd round her as she rode,
And all the low wind hardly breathed for fear."
We had a good deal going until Tennyson saddled us with the Peeping Tom thing. He was the only one who looked when she rode through the city.

Sorry mini-rant over. The chocolate nice way to show the warm fuzzy side of our lovable 'I bath in a river of the blood of my enemies' Goddess. You've gotta admire Illyria for leaving no stone unturned to get what she wants. All those years Fred studied physics and Illyria uses the scientific method to justify kissing MJ. Marvelous.

You'll have to wait a few hours for my review of chapter three. I've got a couple of classes to teach.

Sorry I forgot to point out small typo. In the sentence "I do not make use of human sustenance." you're missing the of.
And from chapter one I'm pretty sure it's Mutari Generator not Mutara.
Comments from author:
I tend to be online the same hours as you and so the emails ping into my box with GMail Notifier, I open, I respond, and that's that. :)

Ultimate Venom isn't actually sentient; that's something I did myself. I might reintroduce the chocolate fixation. In the UU, it's actually a cure for cancer run amok. It's supposed to bond to a person and enhance their body, enabling them to fight off the tumor. Peter is exposed through stupidity on his part and it becomes the Black Costume. It quickly overwhelms him, though, so he zaps it off with power lines. Then this story picks up.

By the way, don't bother reviewing Tangled Webs if you were planning to. It's an old (two years old) story that's shitty and... well, between you and me? There might be... shall we say... A New Flavor to my account soon. ;)

Review of chapter "Chapter One" from laoshi
Review:
When I read In the original version of this story i was a little meh about the Illyria gets venom's powers aspect of the premise. What could she do with them that a powered up version of Illyria couldn't do? The Illyria gets Peter's memories along with venom's powers and decides to form a relationship with MJ is much more interesting. Illyria using the symbiote to make an umbrella was original enough to sway me back towards the powers. But Mary Jane having to deal with a former God King who has her recent ex's memories is gonna be great to read about.

I haven't read Ultimate Spiderman but I like what I've seen of Mary Jane's character in the preceding story and this chapter. Her don't stare at the skin internal monologue was pretty funny when you consider Illyria's about as far from a human just like everyone else as you can get.

As I mentioned in my review of th last story. I think throwing Dawn into the mix was a wonderful idea. Anytime you put Illyria and Dawn together in a story things get entertaining.

Oh and Illyria's Pisces comment: fan-bloody-tastic!
Comments from author:
Actually, I do a bit of art nude work with local girls and one of them has the Big Dipper in the freckles on her breasts. I think I mentioned that in Wand of Uru; we used her as the basis for one of the characters.

And Ultimate Universe... basically, strip everyone of the last forty years of continuity. Peter's a high school sophomore, so are Harry, MJ, and Gwen, all of his classic rogues are just gaining their powers for the first time, and most of them are tied to a government arms race to become the preeminent genetic superpower before World War Three inevitably occurs. Some are pretty regular origins (Green Goblin is similar to his classic origin), some are different but simple origins (Electro and Sandman are test subjects from a government contract for superhumans, run amok), and some are just weird (Harry is the Hobgoblin, a clone of Peter is Scorpion, and Gwen of all people was Carnage)...
