Indeed.
This is the sort of thing that wears at peoples souls. A lot of fics here seem convinced that authority and power are only about ego or some 'bettering the world' dream. That's not true. More often, it's about living with your decisions and those of others.

I like it.
It's sort of a deeply creepy thought. Short, but exposes and uglier side of manipulation that isn't a stretch for the council.
