Just reread this fic, chapter, whatever, and wanted to chime in that I really like both pairing and plot

Poor Dawn, I'm glad she was finally able to open up to her Bones family.

I loved this! I'm not a great reviewer, I can't seem to produce the words to accurately describe how this fic made me feel, except that it brought tears to my eyes, and made me realize that what Zach did was such a betrayal, of everything and everyone around him. Thank you.

Excellent work, using the senselessness of Zach's 'betrayal' (which still has me thinking bad thoughts about the writers, 'cause it came out of nowhere and the whole point of fiction is that it usually makes a kind of sense out of senseless things like nice-guys-who-turn-cannibal) to explore the essential senselessness of all loss, and focusing on Dawn, who's had such an extensive history of loss.

Good to see the 'Bones' gang coming together to offer comfort and mutual support, in the end.

I was heartbroken myself at the end of the season. I couldn't believe it. I was in shock. Not Zach. Great story. Really enjoyed it.

So sad. AND SPOILED! I missed the end of season three so you about gave me a heart attack. ACK! Yeah, I read the warning, but I didn't think it'd be THAT bad!!!

Cute little story, though one could ask whether or not Zack would have actually joined the cannibal if he had a steady girlfriend.

In the show he mentions meeting Gormogon in Iraq, or just after getting back. I'm going on the idea that he was already the apprentice when he and Dawn hooked up.

Great story. I thought you captured a heart broken but much more mature Dawn perfectly. Not to mention what a nice job you did with the whole Bones' crew. Well done with a very melancholy story.

Thanks. When I'm having a bad day I tend to write out really sad stories or chapters to get rid of the mood. This one did it ... at least until I just re-read it and went 'that's so sad!!' and felt like crying. I don't know if I should cry at my own fics ....

Thanks, that means a lot because I'm trying to branch out my styles a little with this song fic series thing I'm doing. I dunno if I'm doing all that great a job at branching, but this was a new style I was trying and it makes me feel really good that people like it.
