Review of chapter "Witch's Cauldron" from AkatsukiDaybreak
Review:
I really like the new addition and it's really nice to have some more Halloween World stuff going on while Spaceman's got the main story on hold. The idea of a vampire kid traveling with a normal is interesting considering most vamps would probably see him as nothing but food.
Comments from author:
Let's just say that Vlad is an unusual vampire and Gabriel is the sort of person an older version of him is likely to respect. *grin*

I'm getting an Alucard vibe from the Vlad. From Hellsing
Comments from author:
I was wondering if anyone would pick up on that. Vlad is sort of a mixture of the red coated nutcase we're both familer with and the boy who appeared in the flashback, who grew up to become the aforementioned nutcase. I figured that if spaceman could have mini-Seph then I could have Kiddiecard.

Review of chapter "Drinks and devils" from misterq
Review:
Nice addition and introduction to the four Dantes. And brownie points for the inclusion of Citadel City. I guess it would definitely help when a large chunk of non-costumed people in the mid-west suddenly gained superpowers!
Comments from author:
According to spaceman, it's going to happen to everyone sooner or later. The inhabitants of New Castle are just a bit ahead of the crowd thanks to an unusually large scale version of the proximity effect. Plus it's slightly debatable how much use they'd all be, the Top Ten universe is full of characters that don't add up to much even with their powers. Citadel City got included for reasons of geographical convenience more then anything else I'm afraid. Awesome idea for a colony though. Here's to hoping that spaceman makes it canon (can you imagine Seras's reaction when she finds out about CC's resident Integra? Heh heh heh). As for the Dante's I just thought that it would be cool. There's probably a couple more of them out there (one's mentioned in Records of Chaos, points if you can spot where). Combined with a Nero, at least one non-evil Vergil and possibly a couple of Ladys and Trishs, I almost feel sorry for the demons.

Thanks for another great addition. I've got to say I find the idea of characters meeting themselves very interesting. I bet it would be especially jarring for narcissistic characters to realize there is someone who is equal to them.
Comments from author:
Ooo, good point. Depending on the characters that could either get very ugly or be hilarious.

Review of chapter "The Black Roses" from Weaver
Review:
Definte points for creativity. A scary Orihime, who'd thought such a thing was possible? *grin* It'd be interesting if Dark!Orihime encountered the normal Orihime and Orina (kiddie Orihime).
Comments from author:
Thanks for reviewing!

Dark!Orihime is the result of my frustration with Orihime being such a typical damsel in distress even though she has so much potential to be powerful if she'd just get over her aversion to violence. So I just decided to crank up the violence. I agree that it would definitely be interesting for those three to get together.

Thanks for finally adding one. It was really good, especially what you did to that damned sparkly vampire. That book was horrible. *shudder*

I live to serve A.D. Glad you liked it, though you could've just thanked me in person tomorrow.

Review of chapter "On The Way Home" from oldgirllost
Review:
I like the "Girl and Her Dog" vibes.

Also reminds me of the "orphan trains" of the Old West. Foundlings and orphans from back east were packed on to trains hired by various charitible organizations and made stops at frontier towns where people would they would be lined up and adopted for fostering or adoption, or sometimes free labor under the label of adoption or fostering. Sometimes grim sometimes not. One true story was of a older spinster schoolteacher who saw a little girl she wanted and was told she couldn't have her because she wasn't married. The little girl ran away and hid until after the train left and was raised by the older lady.

Thanks for contributing Weaver! I love your work.

Glad to know that I'm not the only person who has that reaction. *grin* You're welcome and thanks for the compliment.

Review of chapter "On The Way Home" from spaceman
Review:
It's a beginning. My only problem is it's short, but if other people add more I'm sure this can reach a few thousand words at least.
Comments from author:
Thanks for tossing me a review. I've been trying to work on the problem of my writing being so short, but this felt about right for a drabble. I'm just hoping I can get some people to add some stuff, especially people who already have some Halloween World stories like Weaver and Aesop. DarkGoddess has already promised me one in person after I bugged her a lot about it (despite her protests that she already had one of her own to do.)

How do I post something up on here, in this open drabble thread?

If you want to post something, just click add chapter at the top of the page, right underneath the Story/Reviews/Statistics/etc. tabs.
