Review of chapter "Epilogue: Best of Both Worlds" from gaeilicgal
I don't know if you still check these reviews or receive updates about them but I just had to leave a comment. I was feeling nostalgic and went looking for a good xander story and 'I am what I am' is the one I found. In a word it is amazing!! I really can't explain how wonderful this story is.

I fluctuated between tears, laughter, joy, sadness and willow levels of excitement. Thank you sooo much for such a wonderfully complex, patiently paced and entertaining piece of storytelling.

I am now off to read my way through your other stories. Do you write elsewhere under different names? Your writing is just wonderful and I would love to read some more of your work in other genres.

Thank you.

Review of chapter "Epilogue: Best of Both Worlds" from SandraD
Hey! After reading this for the 4th or 5th time, I figured it was about time that I send you some much deserved feedback! The 1st time I read this was years ago... possibly soon after you finished it, since I don't remember ever waiting for updates. I found it on the XanderZone site back then and just recently stumbled across it on TTH.

Anyway... this is easily within my personal Top 5 favorite fics ever read. For me, that holds significant meaning for a couple of reasons. The first being that I've been reading BtVS fic for 15 years now and, as I am not always able to work outside the home, that's a lot of fic reading. Probably more staggering, for me at least, is that I am almost a pure slasher. While I do read and enjoy the occasional Gen Fic, my focus has almost always been on slashing my favorite characters (Xander being my first and most constant throughout the years). But, as an unintentional side effect, I tend to shy away from Het Fic altogether... with ridiculously few exceptions. So, for this one to hit and remain in my Top 5 since the first time I found it... that can only be credited to you.

On top of that... this is, without a doubt, the best Time Travel Fic I have ever read. So many fics, TV shows, movies, books, etc. suffer from 1 serious flaw. That, after having resolved whatever tragedy lead to the hero going back in time, there is no longer any reason for the hero to focus on that goal... thus removing his ability to travel back to save the day in the first place. That has always struck me as a ridiculous plot hole... even when I first saw "The Time Machine" as a kid. And I won't even go into movies like "The Lake House" that leave plot holes wide enough to drive a semi through! YOU, however, handled this beautifully!! First, simply that time travel was not the goal, but was instead the product, of the spell and sacrifice at the very beginning. And, second, the explanation that Willow gave herself in the Elsewhen... that while Xander went back in time and his past was their future, the new past he was creating was to become the old Willow's future. All in all... masterfully handled.

And, while I like reading Super!Xander fics, you didn't really do that here. You gave young Xan the knowledge of the old but embraced his lack of magic and made him have to work hard to achieve everything he did... the old Xander had to spend years learning martial arts and how to perform just 1 enhancement spell and young Xander had to retrain his body to do what his old one had managed years ago.

So... I loved pretty much every aspect of this fic. I will, no doubt, read it again and again and enjoy it just as much every time. I will always hope for a sequel which, if I remember right, was hinted at when I read it the first time... but even without that, I'll remain thankful that you shared your amazing talent with the fandom!

Review of chapter "Epilogue: Best of Both Worlds" from Grovtech
To write something like this and not have Xander be some kind of superman is not easy, but you did it. He was still human and made mistakes. The magical weapons were a bit over the top, but the series had other weapons that were just as bad, the Scythe for instance. Just a well written and plotted tale.

Review of chapter "Epilogue: Best of Both Worlds" from Dragan
Love the story, although for some reason why do I keep picturing in my mind in the next few moments that dawn will poke out from the row behind them and be a brat about the date? (PTB's cluing Glory early of the location, but with more time to prepare?

As for the Mayor, Perhaps cluing him in that he does not live long post ascension or perhaps Ethan redirects him to another more amusing path?

Sorry my mind likes to go off on tangents.

I seem to have a weakness for Do-Over stories and happy endings, and this one, overall, is very well done and a joy to plow through again. Thanks for writing. :)

Review of chapter "Epilogue: Best of Both Worlds" from SixPerfections
I saw that fucking cop out of Xander ending up with both Buffy and Faith like a million miles away lol. Sugary sweet happy endings are not really my thing and I thought that he might end up with only Faith for a while since Future Willow said she 'saw' that Faith was Xander's soulmate. So, cop out that he gets the two best girls. But whatever :).

Story was still amazing. You write really well, you characters were very good. Especially your xander and faith.. you buffy was good but not as good but that's just IMHO.

This is a massive story and you deserve congrats. I'm trypically not a fan of this type of story because it feels like masturbatory self-insert fantasies when all these 'Xander' fics have him be the end all be all and everyone relies on him and is in awe of him and wants in his pants and etc etc. But done well it's not too much bother and this was done well.

Again you deserve massive kudos for this massive well written story!

Review of chapter "Interlude 4: Rushed Hour" from SixPerfections
Ok, "the adventures of Xander and Faith" interludes so far are my favorite part of the story by far lol. I'm biased though because Faith is my fav BtvS character but you write her so well and fun. The rest of the story is going well too and I have no idea how its gonna end up. I mean if Xander does his job right Kendra doesnt die and then Faith wont be called... untill the fight with the First? How will that work? Crazy stuff. I'm normally not an X/F fan but I'm rooting for it here. B/X has never really seemed like the thing for me. Oh well. Love the story!

Review of chapter "Interlude Two: Future's Tense" from SixPerfections
This story is so kick ass so far. Your character portrayals are fantastic. Like so far I've only seen Faith in flashbacks and this version of Faith is one of the more awesome I can remember reading. Somehow you put so much life and personality in these few chapters it's really really amazing to read. Great job on this so far, will keep reading :)

Review of chapter "Epilogue: Best of Both Worlds" from (Current Donor)deiticlast
I typically don't read YAHF, and I probably wouldn't have started reading this if it hadn't been plugged and I hadn't noticed that it was a YAHF. However, I am now glad I did, because this story is so. . . so. . .

I almost never don't have any descriptive words for something that I like, because normally I know what degree I like it. This fic, however, has me teetering in limbo between being mad at you that there is no sequel, and bowing before your feet in thanks for sharing this story with the world.

Despite the numerous typos and the lack of attention to punctuation, this story has made it into my top five favorite stories on this website, and into the top twenty novels that I have read in, like, ever. I am astounded that you wrote a harem fic and made me believe that it was possible. Xander used to be my least favorite character, and you made me want to seek out more stories with him in it, hoping beyond certainty that I will find more written at least half as well as you have written him here.

Again, thank you.

Review of chapter "Epilogue: Best of Both Worlds" from Kaelas
Brilliant story, only wish it continued longer. The 'do-over' mechanic was well done, the way it played out was balanced and interesting and it never got repetitive or unwieldy. The magical weapon angle is one that I've not seen done often and never to this extent or success. Kind of wish that Joyce or Dawn could have gotten more screen time, but that's just a minor gripe at most. Thanks for writing.
