A very nice story, but (in this "universe") imagine the (extra) devastation when Daniel dies/ascends later on... It might break SG1 permanently. I think we have to just ignore season 6.

Shucks. Too bad you couldn't have worked a way for Teal'c to be involved too. That would have been uber-cool. But super sweet that Daniel is Jack and Sam's kid.

This is a wonderful story and I'm enjoying every bit of it, but can I safely presume (as this is AU), that you're ignoring the part of the 1969 episode where Daniel says, "Jack, in 1969, I was four years old" in the part where they talked about what they'd been doing and where they were that year? It was before they met the young Hammond, when they were thinking of the possibility of getting help from one of their younger selves.
