I love this fic to the point I've read it a couple of times. This is the third time and I've noticed something. In the 8th chapter when Cam breaks down, Xander turns off the vibration in the cock ring but doesn't get it out. In the next chapters the cock ring seems to have disappeared, I'm guessing in the nap the two of them have just after the breakdown Xander gets it out, but you don't say it. Hope this helps.

Hmmm the real rating is going to be.... 45. I love this wonderful fic, extremely well done. I am very eager to read more to this hopeful series ^_^ I'm the type of reader who doesn't care what the paring is as long as it is done well and you really did an excellent job with this fic. Please thank the person who did that pic for you because it's wonderful and I feel that it goes great with this story. Please continue writing more such wonderful stories.

Hi there,
Many thanks for the kind words and wonderful review. I do have two of the four prequels mostly done. The first one is being looked over and may be expanded a bit further and the second one is almost done as well.
I may not have been around much but the bunnies and muses have been stalking me a fair bit. I also have a few other stories that I should be posting as well. So hopefully a few new fics for folks to enjoy within the next few weeks. I'm running a tad slow as I have a fic I'm working on for NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writers Month). *sighs* I didn't plan on adding the new Knight Rider to my fandom lists but *shrugs* The bunnies and muses insisted.

Review:
I have to agree with a previous comment. I really like the plot and where the characters are at in this story. I don't like the character development, though. It's too fast. I didn't really buy Cameron giving up to Xander like that. I didn't buy into Xander's super-Dom persona and until I do, I'm not really sure I buy into the idea that Xander would leave a slayer's training for sex. "Xander wraps Cam in the buckle blanket. Time passes. Cam breaks and spills everything." I shouldn't need back-story explained to buy into that, that should come from taking the time to develop the character. That would be telling, not showing. I can believe your characters behave like this. I can believe that a highly trained, honorable character like Cam would break the UCMJ and spill need-to-know secrets to a complete stranger in a sex club he can be kicked out of the military for getting caught at, but there has to be more work on the character's thinking and feeling.
Comments from author:
Let me hit your key points in order.
I do admit the character development went a bit quicker than it should have, but other wise I would have a story easily two or three times the size of what this one is. Granted that could be a good thing but it would take forever to write and even longer for a beta reader to review. I will be introducing some back stories at a later date, as previously mentioned, which fill in some key details for things.
Xander isn't so much leaving a Slayer's training for sex, as he is leaving a slayer who's already mostly trained and knowledgeable to fulfill a debt of honor that he has with Lillith (yep that's going to be part of the back stories). Xander is a person who will always honor his obligations that's cannon.
As for Cam, check out the season 9 episode Stronghold. He broke a number of rules right in that episode alone to let his 'friend' know all about the Stargate project. What little information he reveals to Xander isn't all that compromising. A fellow pilot was injured during a mission, no specifics on when/where the mission was or what it was about. So he's skirting the edges of things there. Cam also has the major guilt complex going on about what happened to Bryce and is blaming himself, again canon see the episode in question. Also he's always calling Daniel 'Sunshine' *rolls eyes* Yeah it's cutsie but it hints at something. Plus check out the first of the Avalon episode in season 9 with the flashback to the conversation(s) between Cam and Jack and later Cam and Landry. Lot of subtext there that hints at things but never out right says it due to that stupid don't ask, don't tell policy. *shrugs*
Yes I could have worked those scenes where Xander is working Cam out to be a lot longer, more complex, detailed, etc but I didn't want to push that envelope too far and freak people out dealing with that area. Yes I could see Cam in there and others have done that as well www.area52.hkh.net has some wonderful Cam/Daniel ones like that Which is part of what inspired that line of thought.
Beyond that, no fan fic, especially slash fic is ever as perfectly in tune with canon as canon or gen fic is. Hope that helps explain why I wrote it as I did. The back stories are all wips at the moment and will be posted when each part gets done to show a lot more of what's going on.

This was nice but I'm drooling for the smutty version. I love this fic and what you're doing with it.
Comments from author:
*smiles*Glad that you enjoyed that one. The smutty version is an extended variation of that with a tiny change or two. Then the epilogue next week.
And yes to answer the question other folks have asked. I am tenatively planning some sequels, BUT not definite time frame on that yet. I have to finish a few other pieces I have going including some Daniel/Cameron pieces, and then rewatch seasons 9 and 10 to make sure I keep fairly close to cannon. I take some freedom with things, but I don't want to go too far out in AU.

:) Dammit woman, we demand the smut!
I look forward to this series and am delighted every time you post.
Comments from author:
And you shall have the smut...it just won't be till later this week. Then it will be followed by a fairly smutty and full of unexpected surprises epilogue a few days later.
I'm just waiting on my kindly beta to get the smut version of Chapter 11 back to me. Originally it was going to end like this version of Chapter 11 did. Then I figured I'd better give my darling fans something to enjoy.
Plus there will be an over the top PWP of CSI: New York posted with it at the same time hopefully. All I can say about that one is that you'll never look at Don and Danny the same again *smirks and cackles*

Review:
I've been reading this hoping to enjoy it, because I like the basic plot and the roles you have the characters in. However, I just don't understand why Cam has given himself up to Xander. Whatever aura of power Xander is supposed to have in the story is not coming through in the text. I have no problem with the concept of Xander as a dom, but this Xander reads like he's following a script about how to be a dom, and I don't find it at all believable that he's some kind of supernatural super-dom.
Comments from author:
Lisa,
Good questions. I can't answer them yet as that would spoil the unfolding of the plot. I can say that the next two chapters will show and explain all the mystery behind why Cameron went there and what Xander's own background (in part) has to do with this.
If you have seen the Season 9 episode of Stargate SG1 titled Stronghold that would clear up a lot of where Cameron's coming from. It fills in a lot of the back story as for why he is in pain and feeling guilt...Xander, well think about his character a bit. He's the person who does what has to be done regardless of what it will cost him personally. He's seen his own share of pain and guilt through out...for example Jesse, Angel, Anya and others. So yeah you'll see soon the logic there.

Gotta keep peoples attention somehow right? *wanders off smiling innocently* Well that and it would have been an ungodly long chapter otherwise.

Review:
Dom Xander is not seen often enough in fanfic. And by that I mean a Xander that is secure and confident in himself without going deep into to vengeance and or revenge mode.
This portrayal of Xander is wonderfully balanced.
And even though you are displaying all the signs of evil cliffie addiction, the deliberate pacing is very well done. Zero to 120 in 60 seconds or less can be fun, but this more realistic pacing is enticing.
Comments from author:
Thank you so very much. I definitely didn't want to jump right from meeting to sex, to falling in love. *shakes head* I'm sorry, it's sweet in theory but the reality is that doesn't always work. True there are cases of love at first sight but usually there's an underlying reason for it some connection of some sort. I can't say too much as it would spoil the upcoming chapters.
Yeah cliff hangers are evil, but you do have to realistically take breaks in the chapters. Fortunately the whole story, minus one add in piece, is already written. So at most people have to wait a week between sections.
I do have as people have asked, some back story that explores how he got here, but those are mostly wips at the moment and more often just vague ideas...still this series has a bit to go yet.

I'm glad you liked it. There will be another chapter up either Monday or Tuesday at the latest. Usually I do one chapter a week but plenty of folks begged for an extra one so I did. Just keep an eye out for what is coming yet. *smirks*
