Review of chapter "Seventy: Epilogue" from Lydia
Well that was a major let down, I thought at least it would end right, but it didn't, the story had a tag about it being comedy, yet it was drama and angst all the way, sure with a blip of action, but meh otherwise, it was emo all the way. Heck their was that thing about him having to reach out of Illyria's humanity that wasn't dealt with, the story ends on a cliffhanger, never continued after years, I expected better, sure some parts of it were amusing but the level of what would normally be attributed to teenage angsting was incredibly high. Also their was a bunch of cliché bullshit that was more annoying than fun, like the bad guy escaping and get to kill more people, supposedly he named the Evil Overlord rules yet the entire thing was stupidly cliché'd. Plus the whole Evil Twin from an Alternate Dimension that come to your dimension to fuck things up... really... urgh... seriously an overrated plot device, also the fact the Evil Twin was completely delusional and yet some is supposed to follow the Evil Overlord rules? Dumb.
Anyhow this was, really not great, I give it a 5/10 because sure their were some amusing or sweet parts but incorporated in such much freaking moaning about this and that mostly from Xander the main character, to properly understand how much shitty that was, he bitched and moaned more than Harry in HP Book 6... and Gods know Harry was a emo whinny little bitch in that book.

I had this story on my e-reader for months now. I started reading 2 days ago and I was unable to put it down. I loved every second of it. I'm a bit disappointed to see you never wrote a sequel, too bad. I'd've loved to find out what Xander and his crazy got up to in post apocalyptica during and an apocalypse.

One of the little-known pearls of this site, and one that should be getting more love than the many, many bashfics that are on here. None of the characters are out of character, all are shown as human beings, and the mystery of Xander's condition is intriguing and very believable (there's this myth people like to believe, that hallucinations can be told apart from reality - having suffered hallucinations during an extreme fever peak not many years ago, I can say outright that no, they can't).
And may I say what a delight it is to have the main villain be a bashfic character? *grin*

You seem to have a habit of writing clever, awesome stories and ending them at highly unfinished points - points that are just asking for sequels.
I love your writing. I love how you write Xander, and I love the use you've made of the "one who sees" thing. But this story isn't over yet, and I wish you would write more.

This... Is rather impressive. I can't recall anyone making better use of Xander being The One Who See's.
The sequel hook you have here is amazing. Just good enough to close it up completely if your never write the sequel, while also telling just enough that there is clearly more to the story.
What I mean is, we can analyze the poem to figure out what comes next. But it isn't revealing enough to make the sequel superfluous.

Besides the really non sequitor ending, it is a very good story. One of the best portraits of madness I have come across on this site

Eff me running. That was amazing. The sheer pathos with which you wrote Xander, the realism of his insanity, all of it...
Except the ending. Not that they didn't win, and not that they ended up in the future (great patois, by the way). Just... I felt like something was missing between when they got sucked into the portal and when Xander woke up.
Brilliant story otherwise.

What was the basis of this fanfiction? Is it just your imaginings, or did you have a source? If you did have a source of inspiration and format for this story, I'd like to read it as well.

Review of chapter "Prologue: Just White" from draconis
I just now read this story.
Initially...Wow! Terrific story. Dialogue (inner and outer) was artistry! The plot was wild yet kept tight and consistent. The imagery was crisp and vivid and quite the emotional roller-coaster.
Then you totally lost me when and after you had everyone pulled into the artificial portal and quickly ended the story without resolution. AFAIK there hasn't been a sequel posted in 3 years so I have to assume that's it.
Went from a totally solid 10 in every entry 1-67...to an overall 8 because of the last few deeply unsatisfying chapters. It just seemed to go from the heights of Hitchhiker's Guide to Dr. Who's "Partner's In Crime" episode (the diet pill creature episode) in the blink of an eye.
Note: I initially wanted to lash-out and really zap the rating to like a 4 after reading the end (entries 68-71). It was THAT much of a letdown. But, it wasn't fair to the total work. If you don't want to be mind-f'd, then stop reading after entry 67 (chapter "Sixty Six: A Little Help") and assume evil Xander is sent off to his just reward of eternal torment and damnation, and that Tara becomes a real girl again.

The story was Great! I absolutely loved it and I'm for a sequel. Though the epilogue was kind of vague and confusing I totally recognized the Fire-Toad Apocalypse mentioned by the Wolfram & Hart guy in the introductory video back in chapter 22
