Review of chapter "Seventy: Epilogue" from vorellaraek
Review:
You seem to have a habit of writing clever, awesome stories and ending them at highly unfinished points - points that are just asking for sequels.
I love your writing. I love how you write Xander, and I love the use you've made of the "one who sees" thing. But this story isn't over yet, and I wish you would write more.

I ... am so confused. ;_;
At least the story kept me occupied for a while.

This... Is rather impressive. I can't recall anyone making better use of Xander being The One Who See's.
The sequel hook you have here is amazing. Just good enough to close it up completely if your never write the sequel, while also telling just enough that there is clearly more to the story.
What I mean is, we can analyze the poem to figure out what comes next. But it isn't revealing enough to make the sequel superfluous.

Besides the really non sequitor ending, it is a very good story. One of the best portraits of madness I have come across on this site

Eff me running. That was amazing. The sheer pathos with which you wrote Xander, the realism of his insanity, all of it...
Except the ending. Not that they didn't win, and not that they ended up in the future (great patois, by the way). Just... I felt like something was missing between when they got sucked into the portal and when Xander woke up.
Brilliant story otherwise.

What was the basis of this fanfiction? Is it just your imaginings, or did you have a source? If you did have a source of inspiration and format for this story, I'd like to read it as well.

I just now read this story.
Initially...Wow! Terrific story. Dialogue (inner and outer) was artistry! The plot was wild yet kept tight and consistent. The imagery was crisp and vivid and quite the emotional roller-coaster.
Then you totally lost me when and after you had everyone pulled into the artificial portal and quickly ended the story without resolution. AFAIK there hasn't been a sequel posted in 3 years so I have to assume that's it.
Went from a totally solid 10 in every entry 1-67...to an overall 8 because of the last few deeply unsatisfying chapters. It just seemed to go from the heights of Hitchhiker's Guide to Dr. Who's "Partner's In Crime" episode (the diet pill creature episode) in the blink of an eye.
Note: I initially wanted to lash-out and really zap the rating to like a 4 after reading the end (entries 68-71). It was THAT much of a letdown. But, it wasn't fair to the total work. If you don't want to be mind-f'd, then stop reading after entry 67 (chapter "Sixty Six: A Little Help") and assume evil Xander is sent off to his just reward of eternal torment and damnation, and that Tara becomes a real girl again.

The story was Great! I absolutely loved it and I'm for a sequel. Though the epilogue was kind of vague and confusing I totally recognized the Fire-Toad Apocalypse mentioned by the Wolfram & Hart guy in the introductory video back in chapter 22

Whooaaaa quite a ride!!! Insane but oh so fantastic. You had me hooked up in no time to Xander craziness, I devoured this story on the week-end.
That's really an impressive fic. Maybe even the most impressive one that I read 'til now. The only down side is your epilogue. It confused the hell out of me. To the point I'd have preferred it would finished on the previous chapter

Wow, what a ride. I've seldom read a story that was so cinematic, playing out in my head with technicolor and special effects.
Which, I suppose, makes the not-ending sort of fit as it's the same kind of setup-for-sequel too many movies end with. If that was your intention, mission accomplished.
But it left me unsatisfied. After 230k exciting, well written words, I expected at least a conclusion, if not a happy ending. I only just finished reading this, and if it said what happened to evil Xander, I don't remember it--and technically he won.
